it's been 2 yrs since i watched the spirealm but it never once occurred that the ending was a little bit happy. it's depressing asf and it's not even the lack of hug or any skinship, their love was real despite not having all of that, the director did jiushi's character dirty with that ending and i hate him so much for it

wdym the plot is very thin?? of course this show is about high school love so it's supposed to be cutesy and rainbows and butterflies. it never promised to be something deep or groundbreaking, it's meant to be wholesome and sweet. and it even surpassed that premise because we eventually saw a glimpse of complexities of the characters and their emotions.
