i think what hinders you to appreciate this little series is you tend to view things on a surface level. bland kiss?? should kai be eating hiro's face when the latter hasn't yet agreed to be in a relationship with kai?? this isn't a thai bl. and with the "no chemistry" bs that you keep yapping about every week, it's bc you don't have enough emotional intelligence to connect with their characters. personally i find them endearing bc i feel for their flawed and imperfect characters, two broken souls make a perfect match. i think the actors are pretty much doing a great job bringing these characters into life, they look good together too. what on earth is ur definition of chemistry?

this looks like my next obsession for the next three months. here for the angst, pining, and passionate kisses! just don't be a sad ending pls i will be very upset

now this is getting frustrating... mainly because of the SNAKE ex! what's the need to give a lot of screentime to this opportunistic ass? i think the story would still work with the other conflicts (busy work, feelings confusion) without emphasizing a love triangle. i mean sakae and soga are already a unique pair to begin with, i would be happy to just see them navigate this relationship despite their contrasting lifestyles and personalities... the ex is so unnecessary FR. if this was thai bl i would think they're testing which ship will sell: sakaeXsoga or sakaeXmizuki LOL.

I really enjoyed it but I have one major complain: for a sports drama, it has too little sports in it. Like the actual matches? There's literally only ONE episode that showed a scene of the players ACTUALLY playing the sports and it happened towards the last EPS, worth the wait, yes, but it's not even an official game! Lmao. I was dying to see them play in championship. 😭

overrated? gurl be fr. you can't just blurt out that word with jbls. while jbls tend to have simple storylines, they have the most immaculate writing when it comes to realistic characters and believable romance, pulling viewers into an emotional ride of satisfying slow-burn. there are more than ten overrated bl shows in ur list but you chose that word for a jbl that doesn't even have edits on tiktok :((
