Can someone tell me what’s the deal with the red umbrella? It’s supposed to ward off bad luck but opening it when it’s not raining is bad omen? (Learnt this from FOF, gifting an umbrella means it’ll end their relationship)?
That wedding was disastrous lol. 😂 Dude came in, caught the vase and literally whacked the lady dead or his wife to be wouldn’t have made it to her own wedding. And registering that marriage, signing his actual name? whilst she popped a bottle in her brothers face? Yo omg. She still managed to look beautiful after all that food fight. 😂
I’m not sure whenever this comes out, it’ll be a hit. I think people are moving out of the slap/kiss trope these days and frankly, any remakes over time gets (to me, in my opinion) weirder and weirder. But it depends I guess, Cleen Chiwit was a huge success back in 2017 after it’s 1990s (?) first adaptation. They at least cleaned up some of the messy plot lines existing within the book. One lakorn I was following which had so many remakes was Dung Duang Harutai. Most liked the old 90s version, I grew up watching Weir starring it in 2010 and the recent one with Tik and Kimberly which was just weird. It all honestly, I might watch it for the fun of it but it will never outmatch Weir and Min Pin Anong.
ML Cui Yu Xin has a new drama airing right now on WeTV, How to Train Your Killer🫡. It has a body and soul swap…
I’ve noticed they were airing it at the same time. I was watching both lol. This one is sci fi and the other, a common soul swap with a few interesting things in it. I lean towards Affinity though.
I think this one is an inspired take of yes, the popular manga/anime spyxfamily. It has the same vibes but different. Unfortunately, it’s still machine subbed.
The daughter is implied to be the fl actual child (?) but has a fake husband. No, they don’t have special abilities of anything. Both the ml and fl come from the same organisation in which they are trying to end their contract with but is bound by a necklace that explodes if they disobey. They work together on missions, investigate, make decisions, take revenge and by ep 10, the romance starts to bud. They do this while sending their daughter to school.
The intro of ep 1 looks similar to how Anya would introduce her family. The school has a boy whom she would ‘get in trouble with’ and even met his butler. The plot revolves around the ml and fl being parents and the first case was to join a parent board meeting? They have another ‘couple’ doing missions rivaling them too.
So… ‘Pretty Man’ 2.0? 😂 Sorry guys, I’m not watching but saw the title and gave a little chuckle because anything adapted from Yi Fei Yi books, I CANNOT trust at all.
I guess from the comments below mine, it seems a lot better than the actual full length live adaptation, Pretty Man.
I see it at lakorn pixie with eng sub, but it's a pay site. Is a very good and also different from korean version,…
Aha I wish. 😂 I’ve been thinking about paying for Pixie but I don’t watch Lakorn much anymore. There doesn’t seem to be any that’s catching my attention lately so I don’t know if I actually want to pay for just 1 remake, that’s the issue. Have you guys watched ep 3 yet?
NEVER IN MY LIFE, and listen carefully, NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN SOMETHING BETTER. JUST LISTEN, ok? Been watching…
Yo I was thinking the same thing! I saw comments saying it’s like omegaverse but then I was like 🤔🤔 Watched it just to think yh no, it’s more esper/guide with a mix of abo characteristics. I haven’t read any cbooks with guideverse before but there’s plenty of them in Korean. I know China and Thailand has started doing omegaverse like ABO desire and vertical shorts have started including LQBTQ but it seems screenwriters are also expending their field and picking up different genres and renaming them for use.
I have never seen a plot like this in c land and I’m glad it actually exists. 😂
A short 15 min per episode drama with The Trust (Liang Bu Yi) vibes.
Ml and fl swapped souls, but the other feel each other’s emotions and pain. I’ve watched a lot of vertical drama with this trope but never really had this shown up often. Even The Trust didn’t have this ‘side effect’.
Other than that, it’s ok, I only liked the intro ost. The plot is about the fl (or ml swapped) trying to kill the fl’s husband. She trains him to reach his level as an assassin because he still has to work to kill other people but it’s not really working. The fl flinging the ml up towards the ceiling? That editing was NOT it.

I did find it before the ones on bilibili but didn’t know if it’s subbed or not. I’m used to Lakorn Galaxy, and Neko Meow Meow. Pixie has 2 pay plans, 1. $6USD and 2. $12USD. It doesn’t even say what you get for each of these. It wasn’t worth me risking.

Halfway through and I think it’s ok.
I wished I could take back all that time I spent on reading half of that book, it was more than just angst and a love story.

Actually I wasn’t sold on it until ep 3 onwards lol.

It picks up at ep 3 otherwise.
