Sure. Mediocre compared to which drama or dramas??
It doesn't need to be compared to other dramas. I just personally found the drama wasn't for me. I didn't find it good nor bad, which is why I said it was mediocre. It did not leave a lasting impression on me. I don't think this type of storyline appeals to me in general, I find it too slow which is why I lost interest. I enjoy a more thrilling watch, something that evokes more emotions. A lot of people enjoyed this drama which is great, but I just wasn't one of them. Lol is that okay ma'am?

This was mediocre at best. It's an easy watch as it doesn't stir up too much emotions/reactions from the viewer. It's one of those dramas you can leave on in the background and you wouldn't miss much. There's not too much of a storyline as nothing really happens, apart from the one dimensional development of the leads' relationship over a long period of time. I did hit the skip button a lot as too much unnecessary fillers were included. The leads have cute chemistry, and i'm a fan of both individually, but the drama drags on, the plot has no direction and I lost interest.

Lol the neck grab got y'all in a chokehold. Relax, it's not that serious. It's dramatized for our viewing pleasure. The tension between them is *chef's kiss*!

Started this for Jun Ho's perfect face. I've been waiting SO patiently for his first drama post military and this DOES NOT disappoint! Lee Se Young is also so adorable in this, she has such fresh and exciting chemistry with Junho. That final scene of them in the bath on Ep 6 had me screaaaaaaming!

Title Silenced
This was an incredibly disturbing watch on so many levels. I had to pause the film several times, as it was really difficult to digest. To know that this was based on true events, smfh there's a special place in hell for those monsters. The justice system failed those poor babies at the time. The cast were outstanding in bringing this disturbing story to light.

So they really dragging out this gender swap storyline all damn series?! This middle part is getting on a bit and I feel like not much is happening in each ep as it goes on..

The initial storyline is quite interesting.. it could be a thrilling watch but I cannot stand the FL which has made me pause on finishing it for now. Her character is so poorly written lol like why is she always acting so childish? It's cringe and off-putting to watch. The actress portraying her also doesn't fit the role of a criminal investigator, but more an immature high school student. And sorry to say she can't act for shit. Last saw her in Hormones years ago, and well.. she has not improved since then. The main leads also have no chemistry whatsoever, not even in just a romantic sense but their onscreen chemistry. I've tried finishing this for weeks, maybe i'll revisit one day.

An exceptional watch. It was everything a short drama should be.. straight to the point, thrilling and engaging. It's dark and heavy with mature complex themes which were tackled in the correct way. Jung Hae In killin' it as usual! Mad good actor.

Unpopular opinion: this was a total snoozefest.
The whole plot is nonsensical. No logic. And the ML not knowing FL was human just dragged on for much longer than it needed to. Some parts had me cringing. The only reason I tried to finish this was for Yoo Seung Ho, even then I did a lot of skipping and just gave up towards the end.

Although the ending was very realistic and opposite of what I expected (in a good way). I can't help but want…
THIS!! felt the same way. They need a one off bonus ep to wrap things up nicely.

On The Tale of Nokdu Aug 10, 2021
Why I didn't watch this sooner is beyond me! This was such a surprisingly GOOD binge watch. The first half of the drama was light hearted and had me laughing. Second half got darker and had more serious themes, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Everyone DID THAT in their character roles. JDY was one fine ass man as Nokdu, yet had such an angelic face when Lady Kim. Him and KSH (FL) had crazy chemistry! It was undeniable. I couldn't get enough of watching their romance evolve from the initial bickering, to their warm friendship to watching them emotionally support one another and self-sacrifice love. They had a lot of sweet moments. KTO (2nd ML) was a bad ass villain, the switch up in his character was insane! The ending, for me, was how I envisioned it to be so I was completely satisfied. The storyline between the King and Nokdu could've been wrapped up better though.. that fell a bit flat towards the end as there was so much build up towards it and it felt a bit inconclusive. Overall, it gave what it was suppose to give!

I have to say the older main leads have their moments but overall it drags on quite a bit. The pacing is too slow.…
Towards the last few eps, I only just watched Jinyoung's scenes (shoot me, i'm a fan) and skipped the rest. Completely lost interest in the current day couple and whatever the storyline was there. It wasn't engaging enough. Ending scene was cute though.

I have to say the older main leads have their moments but overall it drags on quite a bit. The pacing is too slow. I understand its a slow burn but damn, in each ep not much is going on for them. I haven't finished it (and don't know if I will) but this should've been consolidated into 10 eps. Theres a lot of angst between the older main leads which is getting tiring to watch. I love LBY, she's a babe! but the chemistry was lacking between her and YJT, practically non existent. I found myself skipping their scenes at times as the connection is not there. The past scenes with their younger selves was much more refreshing and enjoyable to watch. I would've preferred the whole drama dedicated to their youth tbh. Jinyoung and So Nee had beautiful heart fluttering chemistry which translated well on camera. They definitely carried this drama.
