Putting a positive comment here because I actually liked this show. It's a cute, fluffy piece about childhood friends admitting that they actually love each other and getting into a romantic relationship. There are exes but they are dealt with within a couple of episodes and the rest of the show is about them, quite realistically, navigating their relationship, living together, their lives and careers.

Want to leave a positive comment on this. Yes the show been narrated by a rabbit may sound weird but that's part of the charm of it. (And there are many JDramas that have an external narrator.)

I watched this for the 3 Toku actors but actually ended up liking it a lot in itself. I never thought that I would enjoy a show about the armed forces, but I found myself cheering on the PJ65 trainees through all their challenges. The tasks may have been brutal and harsh and nearly impossible, but the show emphasised the importance of that- in real life, they would be facing the same conditions or even worse when trying to rescue actual people.

Have just finished this and I'm feeling kind of odd about it. Maybe I'm too old (38) or maybe I've already watched too many JDramas but I found the romance very disappointing. Watching Sakura and Tendo together didn't give me the fluttery feeling that I was expecting. And I've watched and liked both Itazura Na Kiss and Good Morning Call so it's not because it was a fluffy manga adaptation. I just didn't think there was enough of a journey (especially from Tendo's side) before they started dating and then wanted to get married.
The thing I liked most about this was the hospital setting and how Sakura worked hard as a nurse and built a connection and report with the patients. And how Tendo was a really skilled doctor and also kind to his patients. And it was lovely how he came to appreciate Sakura's skills and unique qualities as a nurse. Plus Mone Kamishiraishi and Takeru Satoh are excellent actors and they made the characters likeable. I just wish there was more romantic chemistry in the romantic scenes.

This is an OK drama to watch if you like the actors and have a few hours to spare.

Just finished watching this drama and I don't know why I kept putting it off for so long. Probably the best medical/ mystery show that I have seen. Fast-paced and tightly plotted, each episode was focused and it didn't feel like any part was unnecessary. And whilst it didn't dwell on the sentimentality or feelings, it didn't feel cold either but pitched just right.

I would really like to watch this drama but it keeps disappearing from the UK Amazon Prime. Wonder if it's a licensing issue? Can anyone else see it on their Amazon?
On Hey Sensei, Don't You Know? May 28, 2025
Going to start watching this again because I really liked it the first time it came out, but disappointed to see lots of negative comments.

I think, maybe, people watched this expecting it to be something that it wasn't.

This is basically a short, cute, fluffy drama. It has a lovely non-toxic male lead who always puts the needs of the female lead first and lets her set the pace. And the female lead is not overly naive or stupid (as the comments here would have you believe) but just someone with not a lot of real world/ real-life romantic experiences. (And that is nothing wrong with that?!) Even after she starts dating the ML, she doesn't let the relationship dominate her life and still focuses on her career as a mangaka. Plus the two actors were both in Kamen Rider shows (Medic- Drive, Banjou Ryuuga- Build) so that is another plus for me.

But Yo will never consider Ren romantically. Because Ren told Yo 'I will never love you like that.' Even though…
So this whole story is about two best friends where there isn't total honesty about their true feelings. And that leads to drama and angst and miscommunication. It is only when they are truly honest with each other that we finally see them become a couple. Which is their happy ending, hence why it is in the last episode.

Title I Don't Love You Yet Spoiler
Rewatching this again because I liked it the first time I watched it back in 2019 and I felt like watching something…
But Yo will never consider Ren romantically. Because Ren told Yo 'I will never love you like that.' Even though that was a lie and Ren was denying his own feelings and afraid of losing their friendship. So because Yo believes Ren won't love her romantically, she refuses to acknowledge or entertain any romantic feelings she may have for him. And they go out with other, less suitable people. And Yo even gets back together with her shitty ex-boyfriend. And it takes a long time for her to realise that he is still shitty. This doesn't make her stupid or weak, rather she is a normal human who sometimes makes flawed decisions and has regrets.

Rewatching this again because I liked it the first time I watched it back in 2019 and I felt like watching something with a nice ML where they're friends from the start.
This time I'm picking up even more on how, even from the beginning, Ren is hiding his true feelings from Yo. Also it's hilarious how Yo lists her criteria for her perfect boyfriend and everyone basically goes: 'That's Ren!'

Title Burn the House Down Spoiler
Whilst watching this drama I kept thinking to myself why was Nakagawa Taishi playing the more minor supporting character of the younger brother instead of the older brother who seemed to be more involved in the story. Turns out that there was more to it and this show deployed the classic premise of 'the famous actor in a seemingly minor role is the actual culprit'.
On Map for the Wedding Aug 26, 2024
I've watched 6 episodes so far and I have to say that I disagree with a lot of the reviews/ comments below. Maybe it's because I'm an introvert but I find myself relating to the main characters are lot. They are both extremely shy, possibly on the Autism spectrum? and have trouble expressing their feelings. On the surface they may seem robotic, but fortunately the drama has Rika/ Takuya narrating their inner thoughts giving the viewer an insight into the confusion of thoughts and feelings in their heads. They thought that this would just be a straightforward arrangement where they just pretend to be getting married to avoid a workplace transfer. They (especially Rika) didn't account for actual feelings and love rearing its head. And, because these feelings are all messy and confusing and tumultous and not at all logical the leads don't know how to deal with them. So they react in ways that are irrational and do things counter to what they're actually feeling in order to maintain some semblance of control.
On Boys over Flowers Season 2 Jul 30, 2024
Just finished watching this after initially dropping it because of severely strong SLS. I really enjoyed it and appreciated how it gave us both Oto and Haruto's viewpoints. But, because Tenma was also there till almost the very end, the SLS was still very strong.
On Is She the Wolf? Sep 10, 2023
I have been watching this show and something about it really captivates me. I like that it's more about the couples talking and doing things together and figuring out their feelings. What adds the twist is that a couple of them are 'Wolves' and so they can't end up together with one they fall in love with/ who falls in love with them.
But I've noticed some of the comments below saying the show is 'scripted'. To me it's more like contrived/ manufactured reality. The cast aren't told 'Word for Word' what to say but the producers put them in certain situations or set things up to get a desired result. Basically like most reality shows (in any country) nowadays; none of them are truly organic as the TV execs want controversy/ drama/ excitement for the ratings.

She's going to play the yellow ranger in the new Sentai, KingOhger. Can't wait to see her in that.
