How can he not know when entire country is in chaos. Do you think no one spoke about it in the prison. An entire overhaul - how can that be not heard of.. their king changed

Your point is just plain dumb. Apply some brains... ofcourse he will know who are the people who rebeled .. this is a common sense question.. you don't need some complicated knowledge.. and even if you suggest going that route, use it for yourself and you will get the answer...

others don't need the knowledge because they can form informed opinion and do their own analysis and research
