Someone said somewhere, the characters and setting have some comparable aspects to Hualian (Heaven god's blessing/ Tian guan chi fu/ TGCF/Chinese BL) ..

In terms of dominant younger guy, smart to be god and devil but chose to be devil, and his undying loyalty and fate angle with the older ML.. who is smart, but cheerful and runs away from conflict etc etc... Given, china is not going to give anymore danmei.. i will take this :D

This drama has been made with great care. All credit to director. So, acting choices are not coincidence or lack/presence of talent. Everything was planned and that's why the character fit the mood, narrative, setting of the drama. The characters MUST BE WHAT THEY ARE to pull this story through

I agree. I also took time to warm up to Bom's character, it was cartoonish in the beginning (in terms of over - reaction).. but the character grew on me.. and once character did, i could see the nuances of the character and the effort Bomm has put into bringing it alive..

Specially if you compare to Bomm's real life personality. He definitely put his best into the character... and it fits Noey.. Thi needs to balance Noey.. a "normal" Thi would just not cut it (e.g. take Thi's friends and imaging Noey with them)

In summary, Bom has done amazing job

You sound so snobbish. Also, stupid of you to assume people here don't know what good shows are about or are not watching other shows. If you want to crib, crib.. then don't start another long drawn essay on others who crib.

This show is fantastic. If you can't appreciate it, so be it.

Also, to others reading above comment.. give this show a try on your own. Acting wise no other show beats it. The characters are really tough to pull off because balancing comedy in the show's setting is JUST NOT EASY. Also, if you actually do get to understand the layered character of ML , you will truly appreciate the acting by a young 18 yr old. Other cast is also great.

He is there in almost all scenes with friends.. but that's what it is so platonic.. and clearly he didn't or never meant to take Thi to movies after basketball match .. he just loves teasing Noey.. and pretty sure finds Noey interesting in how N honors his own words everytime

don't you find odd that no one knows Mark and Ford have classess together (they don't say hi to each other, don't talk.. nobody is paying attention to them) .. YET drama made it a point to show us that these two are interacting away from the entire group almost 2-3 in a week and no one knows about it
