First para - YES!! i have been contemplating that too.. because what throws me off is why would the adoption not be registered unless - 1) you are trying to protect the kids and hiding the trail 2) you have some reason to replace your kids with these new ones without world knowing you lost your kids

Agree. Too many red herrings! And you know this show might just do a full 360 that SH, SJ and if any of the other kid survived.. all are in this together.. like MURDER OF ORIENT EXPRESS.. SJ remembers his sister who gave him the locket but doesn't remember the orphanage? Also, i would expect SJ's trust and dependence on SH to be insanely high.. which i don't see in the drama.. why? as a child the only person familiar to SJ would have been SH .. not these parents.. the one he truly truly can depend on and trust

I think the red herring here are the jurors and audience thinking one of the jurors is the killer before they start suspecting the judge

Script or how gracious they are with the hints is obvious but i feel drama has still managed to retain the suspense or rather fun of watching this murder mystery despite all that blatant in your face stuff about potential killer

yup.. they completely pretended as if last scene of ep 3 never happened.. lol

1. I am not sure if he is trying to frame his little brother. More like the brother keeps getting in his way. OR, maybe he does hate him for forgetting everything, for falling down during escape from orphanage that led to other 3 getting arrested again... AFTER ALL Episode is titled "the children he abandoned"

2. That's my guess. Taec/SJ is the one who fell off and SH is the one who ran back to save him while asking other 3 to continue with escape. Since he was with SJ, they survived..but the other three had to go back..

I think SH had a younger real brother - the other child in that group of five to whom child SH said "make sure to meet Mom" ..

Maybe SH still thinks those other 3 kids died - 1 obviously died and he saw his dead body from under the panels.. but maybe he heard that other two got captured again and assumed they were killed too (because in ep 3 or 4 we also saw another flashback - when SH came back from police station he was to be killed.. other kids were discussing that that no one escapes death.. but as luck would have it.. because baek's wife got pregnant he was saved)

3. I don't think she favours. First, neither is her biological child. SH does not complain, is always cautious in his behavior, she can sense the thankfulness and feeling of gratitude in him and knowing what torture he has seen as kid.. i think she just gravitates towards him with all his motherly concern.. SJ is like baby.. he is hotheaded.. and maybe was easier for him to open up to his parents.. I AM SURE SHE LVOES BOTH .. to me, she doesn't behave like a biological mother at all with either.. all her conversations are about not making her look bad before upcoming election

2 survived - one has to be the cutie specy juror.. the other one i am not sure.. cook is too young to be the one and rest are all way too older

i am hoping that when kids escaped they were able to tell the judge dad (rather SH told the truth).. he and his wife made sure that center closes down and masked identity of two boys to save them from harm..

Now, kids who were there then would have been saved. I THINK, the boy who got caught because he fell into the trap (little boy) is the specy juror and is helping SH

little girl is shown to be SJ's real sister and FL is daughter of lady who worked as a nurse in that children center

There is.. some older guy is near her.. out of all suspects.. lol there is ONLY ONE older guy who has a fit body :P

it is very in your face shot.. no one can miss it.. but i am curious why 13. he should react to his number 11.. why 13.. why is YJ important.. is it hate for the number because had he not fallen all 5 would have escaped?

Ofcourse SH, judge.. this drama is good.. so many clues already shared.. but they are well placed and well timed.. you know it is an evidence and yet want to watch the show.. not boring at all

1. ep 1, timestamp 42.53 - he is carving wood
2. Juror selection is not really random. 3 of them already have connection to past - dead girl who is policeman's daughter, taxi guy who was a guard, FL who is daughter of nurse who worked there... Who is in position to influence juror selection? The one who selected the final balls was him. Pretty sure he had some trick to identify numbers
3. ep 2, after announcing decision.. as fight broke.. his expressions are weird.. they change the moment SJ/Taec intervens with the culprit who was presumably playing the act to get to the juros' phone number sheet
4. ep2 , 28.36 - SJ/Taec "How does he not have a single flaw" .. this in kdrama world is "look look he is the killer"
5. casting itself - killer is smart, actor is literally titled "smartest".. and he really does not take on stupid roles
6. Mom recognized the guy who was put in prison in ep 1 .. meaning, killer used him for a reason and asked him to fake act like killer.. guessing he too has some connection with the past (anyway works for Baek)
7. Biker - led to prisoner escape, .. where escape happened is very close to the courthouse.. giving him perfect alibi.. and when taec calls to check, we see him getting out of car and walking into the courthouse (so he DID step out)
8. Think this is revenge for girls death and rpe.. and not just for being brutually treated in that orphanage
9. Not sure if editing error, ep 3 25.52 - he is checking his phone .. we see closeup of calls made and timestamp of the calls .. all calls are post 2 am ( murder happened before 2 am).. seems like only messages were sent beforehand.. atleast call to the dead lady did not happen before 2.. infact we don't see her number on that list
10. Ep1.. SH told the other kid to reach and meet MOM.. i am guessing the restaurant lady we see whom SJ keep scalling mom, is that kid and SH's mom
11. Ep 3 - 50.11 FL is informed that ye na (the other girl around her) is dating some older guys and one of them is going to pick her up (OLDER!!!) .. as to why.. i don't know but FL's mom was a nurse in that orphanage
12. this is brilliant, ep 3 1.00.53 - politician mom "Whenever I see him, I am reminded of that place.... even i'm struggling this much.. can he really forget what happened" .. she is very soft.. and we know SJ has lost his memories of those times.. SHE IS TALKING ABOUT OUR KILLER.. NO HE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ANYTHING.. infact next scene cuts to his face going in to meet the accused murderer in hospital
13. ep 4 - the ex guard now juror told Baek that he thinks he found a boy out of 5 who tried to escape.. we don't know who he talked about.. Baek only saw the locket and assumed SJ/tae is the one ex guard mentioned.. BUT i think he was threatening our killer about ousting his secret

Ep 4 was awesome.

I was expecting this. Each of the juror seems to have some relation with the past. One juror was policeman's daughter, 1 was a guard in that center beating kids, 1 (FL) is daughter of nurse who worked there --- 3 people right there to be killed

Also, pretty sure both judge and policeman are adopted. Taec has lost his memories.. but our judge is way too SMART to not be the KILLER :D

FL has this other girl that she is guardian of right? That girl in ep 3 - someone said that "older guys pick her up" when we saw the bike...

taec doesn't have his memories. Definitely not the killer, but it is sad that it was his real sister who got rpd and killed. Who knows maybe the leader/one of older boys was close to his sister too and this revenge killing is for the rap and killing of the girl and not really for Hope center.

Killer list boiled down to (and i think it is not 1 person job but more are involved) -
1. Judge - the only one who has access to all names and phone numbers and also knew exactly who is where (Who can be the person that dead lady 2 was willing to meet in park so late at night.. someone credible right?)
(One of the boys was shown to have a burn mark on hand, yet to see judge's hand + politician mom looked at family portrait and said to husband how can he not remember (now we know that SJ DEFINITELY does not remember.. so she was obviously talking about SH)

2. The two juror boys - specy and cook.. they are good age to be judge's team..

FL has a past connection. FL told her mom that " She also used to get lost when alone when she was a kid".. I M POSITIVE that she witnessed the death of the other girl and her memories might be blocked

ep3 was good.

I will say the youngest juror, cafe owner guy is involved.. potentially he is also the bike guy

6 kids escaped right? 1 died in car accident, 1 was taken back and presumably killed
2 kids were hiding in the basement ( one had his eyes open, the other almost cried) blood dripping on their faces.. but were they spotted by the officer or not?
2 kids were in the dump area .. and my guess is those two did survive and escape

But then in the show the father of 1st victim said 5 had escaped and out of that he is specifically looking for 1.

it could even be that 2 boys are helping each other out to do these murders

1-7 PR story. Ep 7 3/4 is PR and 1/4 is PS (race track flashback). Ep 8-13 is PS. Ep 14 is wrap up..

so basically 6 ep to each couple and last ep of each story has both couple (ep 7 and 14)
