And frankly, whatever is going on is working together.. show is stitching all aspects pretty cohesively.. show own the cringe, it owns the fun, it owns the romance, it owns the humour and the cheesiness

1. Joss is actually a golden child of Tha... he is extremely successful in his GMM collabs and has turned to BL now on his own terms
2. Joss had his scandal going on.. and it was crazy how people were reacting
3. No sponsors means no sponsors wanted to sponsor.. so maybe result of point 2 or whatever
4. A company doesn't sabotage its own projects... if they are doing something there will be a reason.. maybe show didn't garner enough attention pre-release for sponsors to prioritize it.. could be any reason... if they become famous, GMMTV will automatically put in money
5. Most importantly, they have EXPLICITLY mentioned it that they don't want to be constantly in the public eye.. not everything needs to be posted
6. Given, the good response you can already see GMMTV is in action.. we have some event or the other every other day.. and we are only on ep 2
7. For context... Bad Buddy was thrashed.. and only started gaining attention after ep 4 and 5.. aof even had to go public at the end of ep 3 to apologize and ask people to stick with the show because good part will start after ep 3 (no more school fights etc)

To me GMM seems like a brand that knows it is going to make money from star power and fandoms and fuels that...so their focus is quite different
And yes, there is a director's vision too
HSF is a high quality show.. but ploys' yearbook or jungle were just so bad production wise

but no matter how you analyze it.. JG chemistry is at the crux of it
because production isn't , direction isn't, script isn't , ... makeup etc isn't... this is one of those unique cases where actors are heavy lifting
and NOVEL is good.. so i guess script has merits.. and then vampire.. which is always fun
