It was indeed a dream. You can see it bc of the whole scene aura and Tonkla's bed is empty
Yes 1st ep was clear.. but post that nada.. frankly ep 3 fell flat for me emotionally... it was like director is trying to rush through scenes and cover key scenarios from the novel.. so it felt that actors were also just saying their dialogues and moving on...
E.g. gym scene.. fell flat.. i didn't feel the rejected feeling that Gawin should have felt and hence upset and leaves... the intensity of how much Mark was suffering just didn't land (mostly because i felt scene was rushed)
The whole Gawin's feelings for Mark leading to the dream... again came out of nowhere.. did not land emotionally..

so , here's a thing.. in the interview earlier this week.. Gawin very shyly said this scene is the 1st time ... he was too shy to say so Joss completed it for him saying this is the 1st time they kiss
It didn't seem like they were talking about acting queue... but for the characters..
Let's see... ideally as per novel flow this should be a dream sequence to tell us that gawin has also fallen for Mark.. but somehow this kiss or this episode did not land very well emotionally... everything was rushed.. on Mark's side and progression of his feelings.. but gawin's progression was worse because it simply did not come across on the screen
It wasn't in the novel so can't say but I think it was real
Ya , aware it wasn't in the novel.. but i thought they ommitted quite a few things from the novel this time -
the ignoring Mark does for DAYS after the gym... and then back in school.. we are shown that Tong is not sleeping well for days and missed Mark because he got used to living in his company...
so, had they shown all of that, i would have said it was a dream
But since they haven't shown that.. it could very well be Mark had a very long night trying to figure out his own feelings
Also preview... i was expecting it in ep 5.. so Yay!!! 1 episode earlier
oh so you mean there is SA? Can you plz share that spoiler (like is there a history that's why he doesn't trust the younger ML or.. i am just wondering what is the conflict between the two when both fall in love early on)
Thanks!.. Trailer made it seem like Akin is abused by everyone.. and then ep 1-2 felt like as if akin actually gets SAed a lot.. and can't belive Jin also
Also, jojo is the only one who pushes boundaries somewhat..
this show is new director in GMM and Aof.. and then Gawin himself.. i don't think we will get anything beyond what gmm usually serves

Gawin's orphanage breakdown.. again rushed
All ingredients were there BUT SUPER RUSHED

i have a sneaky feeling, given the lyrics.. we may get a few lines in Joss's voice too at some point
So, what happens after they get into a relationship... what is the story here with both leads
