I read the translated novel after watching the anime on Netflix and seems pretty true to novels, but the anime only covers book 1 of 5.

I'm going to have to watch on Duboku. There's no way I can let extra 6 episodes go unwatched :D

I just saw a preview for ep 25 and it’s killing me that ep 19 isn’t even out yet. Going to be an interesting story arc I think and I’m excited for the drama to share more of Sun’s (ML) backstory now that we know so much about Chang Ge’s (FL)

Are they really planning to make a sequel even so many years later?? And Zhao Liying was so amazing as the lead I’m not sure I could be convinced by anyone else :x

Yes, I had postponed watching it because I didn't think I'd like it. and then once I started I was completely hooked.

I watched Princess Agents because it was a Recommendation for this show, and actually really loved most of it. but I really hope the endings of these two dramas will not be similar.

Translating an 8 min clip (second clip) is a lot! Haha. At the beginning, Ashile is saying he only snuck out to see her and can't stay, and Chang Ge is telling him not to worry about her. When she mentions that the Ashile princess helped give her medicine and gave her gifts, Sun warns her not to trust anyone in the grasslands except for him and that he'll find a way to rescue her out. She tells him she wants to rescue someone trapped in the camp (name omitted for spoiler reasons). Sun is worried that it's a death mission and hugs her and tells her she needs to live well. Ep 24. Young Khan is forcing Chang Ge to pour him wine. [Stopped after that because it looked like the later clips have already aired at this point]

I am definitely a huge fan of his character in this drama so far. Even when he's worried, he lets FL make her own choices and supports her without expecting credit for it. I do think Shuyu is inserted as a contrast to both Ashile and even Hao Du. I see promising character development growth for all the main characters except Shuyu at this point, honestly.
