Watched the first 8 episodes and the cast is so huge sometimes I have trouble tracking who is who :x For those who liked Arsenal Military Academy, there are a lot of familiar faces in the supporting cast and a couple different secondary storylines. For me the big bonus is the FL still being portrayed as smart and a strong character. Doesn’t have the epic feel of Long Ballad and Xu Kai’s character doesn’t have the swoon factor of Leo Wu’s Ashile Sun but I am liking it enough to keep watching

Too early to tell. There's a childhood friend who FL thinks is dead (and isn't) but FL seems to think of as a brother. So, it might end up >1 person in love with FL, but not necessarily HER in love with someone else before ML.

8 episodes out on iQiYI app. I've tried two so far, and enjoyed. Will enjoy it more when XK's character becomes less of a playboy. FL is thumbs up - I like how smart / sharp she's currently being portrayed.

Ep 26 when AS says "If you like someone, is telling them important? What's more important is your actions. I believe Chang Ge will understand" .... All I can say is, I love the way they've written him :) Such a contrast with Shuyu, who is all talk, no follow-through in action.

Chang Ge's name essentially translates to "long song" / "long ballad". The "Xing" could be translated multiple ways but denotes a meaning of competence, like she "can". (Would want someone more fluent than I am to verify :))
