I alsolike the scorpion king storyline (that monologue, wow!). However, not the same as Beauty ghost’s (her connection with SK was nice but I can’t get into her love story with the guy whose name I can’t remember). I thought Tragicomic ghost would be more important but Beauty ghost had more scenes.

MDL ratings fluctuated so much today. From 8.8 (regular ratings for the past week or so) to 9.2 to 8.5. :/

I wanted to find out more about this from the actors’ POV. We already heard from ZZH. For him, ZZS would’ve been more happy just living out the remainder of his life with his loved ones and not being immortal -> not sure if he’s talking about the HE that we got or the ‘illusion’ ending (or if there’s even a more worse ending than the supposedly sad one~both leads die?).

However, I have yet to find GJ’s take on the ending. The Twitter thread I posted above mentioned that he also thought the ending was sad but I don’t know which interview it came from.

I’ve read some posts saying both GJ and ZZH thought that WOH will have a sad ending which is why ZZH had a hard time getting out of (the loneliness) his character since both of the endings had his character living in solitude. Is this true or does anyone know which interview GJ/ZZH mentioned this?

Like did WOH had a HE because of its popularity and by the power of dubbing? Cause I swear, ZZS had a subtle surprised (?) expression when he saw WKX in the snowy mountain.

I’m free! MG, how agonizing it is trying to avoid spoilers and waiting for 1 episode each day. Nonetheless, it’s worth it! I feared that I will be disappointed (w/ all that shidi talk) but the ending (I assumed the bonus clip is canon?) satisfied me. WOH will always have a place in my heart. ❤️

I see. But how come MDL says WOH is ending this coming Tuesday? Is that for those who purchase advance episodes?

MDL should really have episode discussions in forums rather than in comments. I’m not much of a fan of the comment section as there’s usually too much spoilers (some people don’t even mark their comment as a spoiler!) in them and it’s hard to back read previous posts. I guess majority prefer this rather than creating forum threads?

Anyhow, I can’t believe WOH is officially ending on Tuesday! Hope it ends on a high note and leave us all satisfied!

But I think those who complain about this shidi/shixiong thingy actually know Chinese since they’ve watched the latest episodes already and can understand what’s going on. Also, some said that there are also a lot of people in Chinese forums (douban?) that are against this. For me, I don’t know anything about this dynamic. As long as there are still people like you or AvenueX who can justify this addition then I’m okay with it. I’ll change (hopefully not as I love WOH and want it to end on a high note) my rating/reserve my judgment in the future once I’ve actually seen those episodes.

I don’t know Chinese so I’m not sure as to why people dislike the shidi thingy but after watching AvenueX’ live stream, it made sense to me that they had to include this in order for WKX have the motivation to follow around ZZS in the first few episodes.

Apparently, in the book WKX followed ZZS as he likes men and he got attracted to him because of his shoulders? Not sure but something to that effect. Obviously, they can’t do that here with the censorship.

I don’t know. I guess right now I can’t still feel the change because we’re not on those episodes yet. But I hope I won’t get disappointed as much as you folks.

Me too. I would absolutely pay to watch eng subbed videos in advance. For this drama, I won’t really mind spending $$$. Word of Honor deserves it!

Based from what I’ve seen so far (ep. 10), I believe WKX & ZZS know each other from childhood. But are they blood brothers? Step brothers? Sorry, I’m not sure what it means about being ‘clan brothers.’ Like is that a bad thing?

Oh no. So the drama is going for the lost brothers route? Gosh. Looks like I expected too much. :(
