Cheol Jong and Jang Bong Hwan spin-off please! Let them continue their love story in the present times. It's been a while since South Korea had an LGBT-themed mainstream drama. tvN. make it real, make it happen!
She's so awesome in Liar Game! I had doubts if the k-version of Fukunaga can be as interesting as the original but her performance as Jamie was really outstanding.
I haven't finished watching the j-drama version (which I need to do so. soon) but I do read the manga. All I can say is that I really loved this adaptation! It's the first time in a while that I was really addicted on a kdrama that I had the urge to finish watching this on a day. Please, please let there be a second season!!! Hoping, hoping, hoping... Make it happen!
The conflict happened because of his stupid friend and also because of him believing his bullshit stories! I feel for Hee Joo when Young Soo said those harsh words. :'( In reality, they should've let him do more in order to win her back but of course, I'll take that ending any time.
Great first episode, went by so fast... Those co-workers are annoying, she might come off as arrogant/boastful with her success but if her attitude is not like that I'm sure her co-workers will eat her alive and will do everything to put her down for their own good. Hopefully her charater will remain strong all throughout the series! I've always loved Uhm Jung Hwa and she's definitely rocking this role! That tear at the end, gosh, I really feel for her when Park Seo Joon came to kiss her and save her from that embarassment.
This is the first family drama that I have COMPLETED watching! I've also watched other family dramas but most of the time come midways I drop them. Unexpectedly it didn't happen here. LOL.
I didn't regret every minute I spent watching this very long drama. So worth it! I've just finished You Who Came From The Stars and it was good, but for me Unexpected You is still writer Park Ji Eun's best drama.
I think Sato Takeru did a good job portraying Kenshin. While the others seems a bit off. The child actor playing Yahiko isn't as compelling as the anime version. Probably their going to make sequels as this covered Megumi's arc so I'm hoping the other cast improves their acting by that time.
I don't hate the ending, in fact I would've hated this if he called of his wedding with his fiance just to get back with his 1st love? His fiance would be so devastated if that happened.
The root of all the conflict was because of his MISTRUST with her that time when they were young, just because of that he cried buckets of tears and said get lost to her?
Meanwhile older Seo Yeon searched for him after 15 years because maybe she was hoping that they can rekindle their past relationship after her failed marriage and she's curious if that would be possible after years have passed by. In short she tried again.
For me the ending was really nice because I felt that Seung Min giving back her cd player means that their first love story finally CONCLUDED. And that both of them LEARNED A LOT because of that 1st love and can now finally MOVE FORWARD on the next chapter of their lives.
