my blood boils watching this show cause of the hypocrisy of many characters. also, fl is not giving (like no matter how carefree you are or dream of just doing nothing, if you encounter such experiences then some sort of change is warranted). if this was a short/vertical drama I could stomach it, but 30+ episodes of sooo many annoying things… oh gosh

just finished watching LRX in a gokusen-like drama. he really caught my attention there and look forward to this BL drama of his!

is there really an uncut version? if so, which official platform? I’m assuming the one YT is just the regular version

don’t get hung up with the ratings. a high/low score here or whichever platform doesn’t necessarily meaning it’s good/bad, etc. that said, if it consoles you, the rating will definitely become lower in the future/once the series ends (that’s what happens in most BL shows in MDL)

oh yes. like slapping you know what on another's face, etc. like, some of the gayest things are done by straight homophobic men

you could've just said you're dropping the series because you're uncomfortable with SA or similar disturbing content. that's totally valid. however, saying that other people are "insane" and "disgusting" is uncalled for. there's a difference between critiquing and attacking the people who choose to keep watching. the world is not black and white. i dont know where the story will go, but things like a victim falling inlove with their abuser or people staying in harmful dynamics happen in real life. this is the world we live in~some are just totally uncomfortable. even more so in fiction where writers can and SHOULD explore (whether it is based on their experiences, imagination, etc.) complex, thought-provoking, and riveting stories. like, there are soooo many genres of fiction, and im glad that BL nowadays explore new themes (political, social, psychological) rather than just straight up romantic comedies.

Did the synopsis just spoil the whole series or will the events on the last paragraph happen within the first half of the series?

Sasin’s gay awakening is chef’s kiss. Given the lighting and how we saw Saengkaew’s chest/sexy silhouette, I’m pretty sure it’s implied that Sasin also saw another snake in that scene. 😆

She's actually 70 and turning 71 in December! It seems like she's a well-respected lakorn actress, so maybe its just us. To be fair, people today are looking younger and younger! So maybe its our head not wrapping up with the thought that she still looks young (even with the white hair and old voice), but acts like a very elderly person who can barely walk. Someone needs to confirm though if her voice and the way she walks are really like that in real life. Otherwise, it does come across as somewhat forced on the screen.

As someone who consumed Japanese media, BL (shounen ai) is lighter, in a sense that Yaoi has more sexual content (graphic sexual scenes).

I am surprised by some people's negative comments about Pin. I personally believe we can learn to love someone, the same way that love can grow even further between two people who are already in love. It's far more realistic than the usual "love at first sight" narrative we see in the media. To each their own, I guess, but so far, Pin hasn’t shown any villainous traits. Perhaps, as this is a lakorn, she will completely turn evil in the future. But I hope it won't happen and that we get to see a nuanced conflict between the three leads. Save the caricature villain scenes for the side characters and let the main story focus on complex emotions and relationships instead.

On a different note, I am really bothered by the grandma for some reason. I guess maybe cause she acts like she's really, really, really old, but she looks quite young (at least to me). Looking at her profile, I was surprised to learn she's 70 and is actually older than the female servant.

Are they setting up for a 2nd season? Like, there are only two episodes left, and Gao Tu & Wen Lang still haven't gotten together. Also, still no baby for Hua Yong and Shao You? I really hate time skip then happily ever after, but this series might probably end that way.

I haven’t seen any of his other works, so I can’t judge his growth as an actor. However, using eye drops, tear stick, etc., is pretty normal in film and TV acting, especially considering the multiple takes involved. I’m not sure how it is in Thai/Asian productions, but having been in some Hollywood productions, I can say that the amount of coverage an actor has to film, even for a so-called simple scene, is crazy (i.e., it is not feasible to expect an actor to cry "naturally" over and over and over again every single time).

the acting of the two goons are taking me out of the story. they’re just sooooo bad… I had to stop watching and comment here to take out my frustration lol. also, it’s ep 12 already and we only have 16 eps. the 2 couples better get together soon!

Suddenly, I’m kinda missing this drama. I remember, this, and WOH, got me through Covid. Maybe I’ll rewatch from a reactor cause I also can’t see the vids on YT.
