SO GOOD. I don’t think I’ll watch it again for a while because the starting was much too angsty and sad, but it’s still such a good drama and I don’t understand why people have so many complaints. At most, I hate the brother’s arc - his so called female lead was the worst part of the drama. She tied up the loose ends for Meng Family but her character didn’t deserve the screen time she got. If she only showed up in the last few episodes as some sort of revenge towards the family, that would have been SO much better. And then instead of her, he would meet an actual kind person who would make him feel less alone. Alas, that’s not to be. I also don’t like that ending scene where we see that girl again during the typhoon and it actually looks like he might like her??? No no, not after everything she did. Nope. I did enjoy that where everyone else showed up, no one cared about her, too busy trying to save lives and I think that was a nice moment because it showed she really did nothing for her life.

The mother being saved by firefighters !!! Hell yes. I do wish we saw more of the two families interacting but at the same time, I get it. For Song Han, he will never forgive them but they’re also not worth his time outside of making his wife happy. Love that we saw him getting along with her brother and best friend - who btw is an amazing character and I adored how supportive he was of the siblings and just a great addition the writers added.

I cried so many times while watching this! The death of Da Peng has me bawling. It’s the reality of firefighters and the cast did beautifully.

honestly at this point i love both the ML and SL with Han Byul and i'm smiling at their interactions and just cuteness overload ok

I honestly thought she was probably offered a job or applied for one and the team manager wanted to take advantage of the fact they went to the same uni :’) did not know about the promotion thing! could be a possibility too now that you mention it

this is maybe already talked about but i really think han byul was sent to get tae sung to join the company and idk maybe he didn't know about it and fell in love? or he did and he made her do things for him (like taking the picture) and he fell in love. he was so sure he didn't want to become the actor and han byul is clearly the secret to have made him agree (or that's my theory anyway haha)
