I will agree, the first few episodes are kind of all over the place. It was like they were trying to fit in too much information and backstory in not enough time. The last 3 episodes felt more put together and plot driven. If you have nothing else to do and like fluff, should give this a go.
So the racist white washed casting standards of this Remake is much better? The new Phana was cast because hes…
Haha, your comment about tan skin being beautiful where your from really struck me. I live in the USA and am probably the whitest person ever (its the red hair I swear) and I grew up being told tan is pretty and white is sickly (ugly). To make it worse I cannot tan, just burn so I can be red or white.
Just fine it interesting watching these Asian drama's and how obsessed they are with being pale, seems so foreign to me. Cookie cutter beauty standards all around the world are silly to me.
They're going to have a presscon on May 16 so I doubt that May 6 is the air date.
awww that's sad to hear, I was really excited for May 6...oh well May 18 is my bday so if the first episode is May 16 I can count it as a bday present!
I'm just not so sure about the end, I mean I am VERY thankful for the happy ending but what happens when Thun gets old and Mes doesn't, just seems like they delayed the inevitable. I wanted a more concrete happy ending I guess? A second season would be nice too! Got to say Ohm's acting was great
Think this might actually be a series I watch as they come out instead of waiting for them all to be released and binging them. I'm really excited to see how this one comes out.
don't hate me but I just missed the old casts especially ForthBeam and MingKit...
I will miss Ming and Kit the most, love the 2 actors and thought they had the best chemistry and acting out of the whole cast. The post below talks about them getting their own series, lets hope its true and that it is a good one.
I wasn’t excited at first but May is coming and I’m HYPED
Nice to know I'm not the only one excited. I mean I liked the first one, wasn't my favorite of all time. But I'm really interested in this interpretation too.
I don't think his looks are that bad, but I understand, to each their own. Also I would wait and see how he acts and the chemistry between the two leads before getting completely disappointed :) Maybe we will be surprised.
I wanna watch this but I feel like I'm going to be very disappointed. I love the prequel and I don't wanna end…
Same, I've been going back and forth about watching this or not. I really liked the original and felt good with how it ended so not sure if I want to chance it. I haven't read the best reviews on the sequel.
Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't mind this as a reboot. I was going to rewatch it anyway, I will just wait for the reboot. I'm sure it will still be good and we get to have a different version of the same story. I'm excited. Think I might miss 1,2,3,4,5 I love you ....though lol
Liked the main character story but it felt too rushed. They say this series about those 2 as the main character but I felt like they hardly had any screen time. I did like how Waii grew and learned, even in such a short time. I think they could have made Apo deeper, it almost felt like he was strictly there just for Waii, and had no history before meeting him.
I got really bored with the secondary characters stories, nothing made about their story lines made me care. Also, like many others I cannot believe they made Pan suddenly straight. There are so many drama's out there with straight couples, idk why they had to take away from an openly gay character. Its like the series was saying, its ok for a guy to like another guy but not ok to be a lesbian, we will just write the gay out of you.
