Honestly I feel that the SIL actually always liked yi an because he wasn't a scary cat ( like the former king ) or he was much more strong willed , he was excellent at everything and seemed as a much better fit to be king
but since her last 3 gens were queens so she wasn't allowed or willing to compromise her position as queen
and after the former king planned to willingly give up the crown ( and I assume give it to yi an , not sure but what I think ) .. she hated that idea and hated the king for doing so since she would loose her queen position and also regret not choosing yi an

this is just my theory .. and now she hates yi an or more .. regrets the idea of not choosing yi an and she can't be anything anymore ( ofc she cant later marry yi an .. that wld be scandalous )
and she's gonna give our hui ju a hard time but yi an aint letting that happen
