I am not really feeling the format of the show. The 30 seconds call is kind of a waste of time and shouldn't take up the entire episode. Why would Jeong Ho expect a call when he just arrive that night and barely knows the other men? Why did Hyuk Jun called Chang Min? Eun Chan needs to talk to Hyuk Jun like Chang Yu did to Seon Yul to at least find out if HJ is really not into him. It's like we find out who likes who but nothing really changes the next day.
They need to show more the interaction between the men. Have some group dates, maybe some fun quiz or game to showcase their personality. Make the 30 seconds call more interesting - if both men called each other - have them go on a date to see if they really click, or if a man gets called by more than one person like Chang Min, have him go on a date with ALL of them, and we can see how each of them try to impress Chang Min. I just feel like we don't know much of these men and we are almost half way through the season.
I'm baffled how they can cut TWENTY minutes of the show. That's a third of the episode.
I like the show but I wish they have some team activities instead of going on one-on-one date so soon so the men can get to know each other better.
The 30 seconds phone call is kind of hilarious - none of the receiver can tell who the caller is by their voice. I thought it was setting up to see if the men changes their mind but then the original 6 men were not asked to make a call after the first night. It was kind of weird lol.
I feel bad for Eun Chan, he really went all in for Hyuk Jun. I hope he doesn't get crushed like Changyu.
This season was great and I am satisfied with the ending. I loved seeing how she followed her dreams to become a writer. I also thought she was very mature in handling both of the men's relationship. She never looked back to Woong or lead him on when she was with Babi. The fact that Woong still cling on to the relationship is not Yumi's problem. She was also very honest with her feelings with Babi. She confronted him with Da Eun and she was the one that broke it off at the end when she realized the love is gone between them.
I especially love the award ceremony where she acknowledged the impact that Woong and Babi had on her. They were both important men in her life that supported her and helped her grow. I am pretty sure there won't be a season 3. Yumi is now a successful writer with a great group of friends and "Love returned and she was ready to be happier" and that's all I need to know as she enters the next chapter of her life with Soon Rok.
Finally, I want to give a shout out to the animation team that created the cells. They were all so creative and added a lot to the story! The last scene with all the cells together with Yumi at the window was so lovely!
That confrontation between Woong and Babi cells in the hospital was hilarious. "He is in marketing, he is too good with his words!" LOL I think this is the most dialogue Babi has at once. Why can't he be this open to Yumi? They should have added more scenes like this with the cells between Yumi and Babi so we get a sense of what Babi is thinking.
Sorry Team Woong, the ship has sailed. There is no way Yumi will get back together with him. Did anyone notice that when Yumi and Woong met again in Ep 10, we only see his cells react but not Yumi's? She can't even remember why they break up. I don't think she has feeling for him anymore. Not to mention that Woong was bragging his success which shows pride is still very important to him and this was the cause of their breakup. If his career fails again for some reason, history will just repeat itself. Also Woong initially broke up with Yumi because he was suffering which really hurt her. Now Woong is successful and Yumi will get back to him? That wouldn't even make sense.
I am not sure why people are hating this season. I love seeing Yumi's growth. She was impulsive in quitting her job but then I liked how determine she was to become a writer after so many failed attempts. I also don't blame her for breaking up with Babi. She asked him point blank did he waver when Da Eun confessed and he didn't answer. Put yourself in her shoes, can you really trust someone who wavers so easily? Yes, Babi did a lot for Yumi, always encouraging her and being very sweet but there is always a deal breaker in a relationship and this was something that she cannot accept. Not sure why this is so hard to understand.
The only thing I didn't think was believable was how Yumi quit the very NEXT DAY after she tells Babi not to encourage her so much. That short scene she had with herself is not enough to make me believe she would make such a rash decision.
KSH's acting is amazing but I was just shaking my head so many time during episode 6....
The walk through of the crime scene is ridiculous. There is no way the police is allowed to narrate what they think happened with things like "he started sexually harassing the victim" (based on what??). Maybe it's different in Korea but there is rarely any need for jurors to go to the crime scene where evidence could be presented in court.
There is also no way the defense lawyer would allow KSH to take the witness stand without being prepped and then she didn't do anything when he starts to break down on the stand...just arghh!
Also why was the defense only NOW got hold of the CCTV and questioning other suspects when the trial already started?
Why didn't he actually tell her what was on his mind!? I mean why these men can't be completely honestly expressive…
Because women tend to overthink things. Yumi was already triggered when Woong told her Sai Yi was a girl. This was before the whole yuzu tea incident. Even if Woong told her right away that Sai Yi was the one that made them, she would STILL have thoughts and doubts about their nature of their relationship. So while Woong was not being completely honest, "Sai Yi" is the one planting the doubts in her mind.
I love how all the cells interact with each other. It's so creative. The lust cell without pants is hilarious.
I am already dreading Sai Yi getting between Yumi and Woong. At least Woong is not oblivious to her motives. Forget Defense Mode, he needs to activate Offense Mode and tells her off in front of Yumi.
Yeah, I'd be fine if they were to stay friends as well. But I have a strong feeling that they will still end up…
I will give the writers the benefit of the doubt for now because Jun Wan and Ik Sun haven't talked at all after their breakup and they have been dragging Jun Wan's misery for so many episodes so their reunion was bound to happen to at least either have them get back together or truly move on after they talk it out.
For Ik Jun and Song Hwa though, one thing that (pleasantly) surprised me was that when she told him the news of her mother, the usual trope would have had her cry in his arms to show they are getting closer to each other but they avoided that. They didn't over dramatized the scene.
I'm in the minority but I don't mind Ik-Jun and Song Hwa staying friends. She is not in love with him and I hope they don't end up together. They have such a great friendship and should stay that way. The reason we don't see Song Hwa side is because there is nothing to show - she does not "love" him the same way he does. They have been friends for over 20+ year so I don't find it all surprising how well he knows her and do the things he does. Likewise, Song Hwa wouldn't be see his actions (like the gift) as some sort of love gesture because that's just what a friend does to cheer you up.
The novel does not have a happy ending. It could be open to different interpretations but it's definitely not…
I kind of hate the twist ending - Ye You Ning dies at the end in the accident instead of Xia Wen Xi and then they mention that Lin Jia Qi doesn't exist in this new universe. It's kind of confusing. Maybe the TV version will be more clear.
Not sure what is the point of brining Uju to camping? I thought there would be some bonding moments between the three of them. Uju is sad because of his girlfriend but there is no follow up? Ik-jun didn't even talk to him about it?
I don't remember S1 being this romance focused. Am I just misremembering since it has been so long since I watched…
Is it really more romance focused? There are more scenes of Winter Garden but then S1 has the arc of Jun Wan and Ik Sun getting together so it's about the same. Other than that there hasn't been anything romantic between Ik Jun and Song Hwa. And there is just little progress between Suk Hyung and Min Ha.
I actually think they focused a lot more on the patients as well as the relationship between the doctors. I really like the mentor-student relationship between Song Hwa and Sun Bin, which no one really talks about it seems. I love the guidance and the advice she gives her. I also enjoyed the friendship between Jun Wan and JeHak.
2/10. Wow, this was bad, the only good part was the last 10 minutes with Sib and Gene on the bed. Everything else before was a mess, so unnecessary and boring. Sib's plan makes little sense. So after seeing how angry Gene was when he was first lied to him about who he was, you're telling me he hatches up another lie? There wasn't even really an issue between them so the whole thing was kind of pointless.
Poor Aey! Sorry but it's ridiculous that they make it seem like he killed someone from the way everyone shut him out. He made mistakes but it wasn't that bad. He doesn't deserve to have no job, no friends, no love, it's so sad....and Tiffy is such a b*tch to stop Mork from going after Aey.
Conclusion: Watch only if you have nothing to do or if you want to waste 2 hours. This special adds nothing to the series.
