It's a decent drama but not my most fave of his works. I have a love-hate relationship with it due to the amount of screentime the annoying 2nd ml got but that's just me. You should try and you might enjoy it. If you liked his character here as Xie Zheng, then you might also like Xie Wei in Story of Kunning Palace.

I didn't read the novel but he is surely a bad guy, I feel he has something to do with Changyu's dad death and why he is labelled traitor. He's also the one who tried to kill Marquis Wu'an but low-key thanking him because he made Changyu and Xie Zheng meet 😂
