I'll forever carry My Demon in my heart. This series took me on a captivating journey, stirring a range of emotions from laughter to suspense, romance, and heart-wrenching moments. The incredible performances by Kim Yoo Jung, Song Kang, and the entire cast, coupled with stunning cinematography, created a flawless experience. The magical OST added another layer of enchantment. Grateful to everyone involved for a series that pierced my heart, healed me, and brought immense joy. ❤️
“when it comes to love or friendship, I’m still new to both. Those weren’t options for me in the life I’ve led. But when I’m with you, friendship and love pique my interest.”
I love this quote. This literally made me empathize with ryu sio even more. This truly shows how lonely he has been all his life and he lacks of emotional intelligence due to the terrible things he has been forced to do in order to survive. I believe that deep inside what he truly needed was someone to see through him, someone like namsoon. When she said to him that he was a light that was not sure if it was real or fake, but could be real if it tries hard enough, she directly told him that, if he sets his mind to it, he can change for the better, that he can be a real light. I don't expect him to end up with namsoon because it wouldn't be logical (although I would be lying if I said I wouldn't like it, pipe dreaming is free), but at least, I would love to see that they gave him a dignified ending. If the majority of people have reached this point in the series, it is solely because of him.
This doesn't really make sense in Korean since the names 우학 and 목하 don't have much in common other than…
yes I know! I just find it curious that in the romanized version of their names, they do seem similar. thank you for the insights and for making it clear
I know I'm overthinking this but, don't you find it weird that woohak's and mokha's names are similar in a way? The M letter (Mokha), upside down is W (Woohak). Also, the overall structure of both names are similar because they have the rest of the letters in different places (O, K, H, A). The only difference is that Woohak has an adicional O, but if you think it that way, they look alike. This might not prove anything of course, but we know that Kiho needed to change his name if he wanted to escape from his father and it caught my attention that Woohak's name looks similar to Mokha's. Again, I'm overthinking and we'll see what happens in the end, I just wanted to point this out because I found it interesting.
'are you a genie?'
'don't you compare me to that beefy smurf'
And she also called him a pokemon
