Surely it was something fresh but at the same time confusing as wellThe second couple didn't also had a proper…
I despise "fluffy" BLs. I'm not talking about making into an "everybody is gay and all the straight guys love us" type BLs out of Thailand. I hate those. I'm talking about the homophobia inherent in the way this ending is written. The guys, who clearly are in love and know it, end up miserable and apart after 12 episodes because...that's what's in the script and gay men must be miserable.
In this show, there was a little teasing about the possibility of affection between Wang and Tian but nothing I'd call homophobic. Plus, Tian is aware of his romantic feelings for Wang from early on and has zero problem with it.

You made me realize just HOW common second seasons used to be in the early days of BL, and still to some extent until recently.
Love Sick 1 & 2 Sotus 1 & 2 Love By Chance 1 & 2 Tharntype 1 & 2 Dark Blue Kiss 1 & 2 Together With Me 1 & 2 My Beautiful Man 1 & 2 ITSAY & IPYTM Make It Right 1 & 2 To My Star 1 & 2 Like Love 1 & 2 2gether 1 & 2 Mood Indigo/The Pornographer Present Perfect/Present Still Perfect

He deliberately failed a test to get away from Tian in Class A. As a result, he is also moving out of the dorm…
Mea Culpa: Though I have not gone back and reviewed the last part of the episode, I thoroughly concede that I was mistaken. Being "mistaken" is a different thing from "making shit up." Do you grasp the difference. You are apparently right and I was wrong. I am, regarding this point, a rancid turd in the cesspool that is this comment section. How's that? Good enough?
Why on earth would I make up such a lame point? Though I WILL point out that if he is not moving out of the dorm, then all the drama at the end of the episode about him ONLY LEAVING THE CLASSROOM is even more absurd than it already seems. They're going to see each other every morning and every evening, in the room, at least. So what's the big deal about the separation? See, you helped me see how this show is even more poorly-written than I thought it was.
HE'S NOT HIS STEP-BROTHER! THE PARENTS AREN'T MARRIED!
Even if they are married, Tian will NOT be Wang's "brother," he will be his step-brother, which means nothing. So what? Who cares? What difference does being steps make? Isn't anyone else sick to death of this stupid trope which has been around since BLs began?
And the implication is always that there's something inherently wrong or immoral or incest-ish about two unrelated gay dudes getting together. I wish someone would have the balls to have two BLOOD-related brothers fall in love in a BL. Now THAT would burn up the Internet and airwaves!
Here's the plot: Blood brothers are somehow permanently separated as children and have no idea where the other is. Then, around age 22 or so, they meet again through work or college or some travel experience, who knows? One of them is openly gay, the other aware of bisexual feelings he has yet to act on. They interact and eventually fall in love and do the nasty...a LOT. Then, after a significant amount of time, say six months, somehow they suddenly discover they are blood brothers! Or one of them discovers this and freaks out, but doesn't tell the other and either runs away or continues the relationship.
oooh...THAT would be interesting...if one found out but chose to keep it to himself, as they are blissfully happy and after all, it's not as though they can make a two-headed baby. I'd love to see a brave, daring exploration of the cultural/moral/etc. issues surrounding such a situation. Why would it be "immoral" or weird for two guys who did not grow up together, had little or no awareness of each other, who don't have to worry about genetic defects in children, to be romantically/emotionally a couple?
A LOT of BL watchers would totally freak. The script would ask them to explain exactly WHY they are freaking out.
I wouldn't be so sure about that, the Chinese were misjudging, because they thought they didn't follow the novel…
I never said they didn't or couldn't watch BLs in China. I said they can't do so legally on a paid platform so I don't see how the shows make money. But if China's homo-hating government allows BL fan meetings in China, then they're making $$$ off tickets and merch.
What is a "vest" in relation to taking a shower? 12 episodes and we're to believe Wang finally notices Tian's body in the final ten minutes out of 660 other minutes? Right. :)
In my view, the best part of Tian's body is his legs. Those calves...I liked that he was fit but not overly gym-built. And of course, we never saw Wang shirtless because he is the bottom-coded character and bottoms don't take off their shirts in BLs, except for rare exceptions like "Together With Me," "Dark Blue Kiss," and "Waterboyys." Those are from the old days, when Thailand made watchable BLs. Yes, I know TOO is Taiwanese.

Who said you could NOT "state your opinion on a matter?" I certainly did not say that. And if you're too delicate to handle a "Please." in a reply to your comment, you should probably stay out of threads.

If you must, rewatch the last ten or 15 minutes. Tian asks Wang when he is moving out of the room and Wang replies "at noon today." (of course at noon today because everything has to happen in the last ten seconds of this 12-episode series.)
Apparently Class A or 1 students are not allowed to room with Class B or 2 students. I don't know exactly and at this point I don't care, as it's merely a plot device to get the pair apart.
I wouldn't be so sure about that, the Chinese were misjudging, because they thought they didn't follow the novel…
What you say is somewhat true, but I'm sure a far higher percentage of Taiwanese and international fans watch BLs on legal platforms than does China.
So my question to you is how does ANY BL make money? Is it purely off fan-meetings and merchandise and the occasional sponsorship which I rarely see outside of Thailand?

I'll get started on the screenplay tonight. :D
The problem is the word being thrown around regardless of its definition and applied with such abandon that it means approximately nothing here.

By "Ohmnanon" are you referring to Bad Buddy?
