I think it says more about Lee Ji Eun’s awareness of just how popular she really is. She’s such a modest person. When she performer in Atlanta she did a complete floor bow to show respect to the sold out audience that was loving IU, the performer.
I started watching kdramas in 2022 to escape the brutality in America & the wars in Gaza & the Ukraine. There is so much sadness in the world. I remember when this young woman was arrested for a dui. I couldn’t have predicted this outcome at that time. Then I watched My Mister. It is still one of my favorite kdramas. I never imagined the ML would end up taking his life. Right now I’m holding on to IU’s carefully chosen words at the end of her 2019 Seoul tour, when she spoke to the audience after Goo Hara took her life: “Sometimes the world can be such a cruel place and we don’t want anything to do with it…But weneedtolive on, loving each other harder.”
I’d like to see SHK do a comedy. She used to be animated in her early roles. She laughed and sang and smiled. She was so natural! I’d like to see a more animated SHK in whatever she chooses to do.
