It was sweet that he wanted to sacrifice himself for Jae Woo so that they could meet again, but to me it seems like a rather tragic time loop to be caught in. I don’t think I’ve seen something like this before though. When the end happened it made me realize, this probably wasn’t even the first loop. The whole story we watched could’ve been the 5th, 10th, 50th loop. Very well done, very interesting series, good job Korea 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just finished the first 5 episodes. So goooood. That could've been an entire series on its own. Billy and Seng are such talented actors. Kinda want to watch Secret Crush On You again lol.
It's frustrating when it seems like a BL is getting it right by having a character that's just outright gay from the beginning, which is how I perceived Ai's character, but then in the same series the feminine queer person is portrayed as an outrageous cartoon character (slash borderline predator?). Like obviously feminine queer people exist (I am one lol), and yeah sometimes they're loud and crazy but it's like do we have to be the silly, clown, joke character every time?
That being said, don't get me wrong, I am enjoying this series and I will continue to tune in week by mf week. Oh and Nine's actor looks like a baby Heechul from Super Junior lol. Especially with that hair.
Also, if you’re trying to defend the Hom/Peak relationship, you’re wrong. Whether they’re 10 years or 5 year apart it doesn’t matter. She’s old enough to be college age and he’s a 9TH GRADER. Is she gonna tell him how psych 101 is going while he talks about how he’s doing in geometry?! BRO STILL HAS TO DO PE!!
I choose to ignore Hom/Peak storyline. Its non existent for me.
Does this story exist in the novel? Because the actress that plays Hom wrote the story, right? Like, did she write a 10 year age gap, junior high/university, romantic storyline.... for herself?
I really love how Cake's friends understand the dynamics of his relationship with Eiw. Like they know how close they are and that they cuddle at night, but no one is ever teased for it. They don't make mean jokes, they're just like "yeah that's just them".
Also, guess how much more of the Hom/Peak storyline I wanna see? NONE. Get that shit off my screen I don't want it! "A junior high student and a university student? Someone call the cops!" Exactly sis! Say it again.
I love this series. An actor like Cooheart playing the character he is feels so important to me. It's nice to see a more feminine presenting gay man being a main character, and not just a caricature of stereotypes for comedic relief. This is a series I can actually see myself in as being a very obvious gay kid. Eiw sneaking down to finish the movie they were watching reminded me of me as a kid watching Brokeback Mountain at like 2am, with my hand glued to the off button just in case my parents walked in. I was desperate to see gay people existing and feel like I wasn't the only gay person in the whole world. I know some BL fans don't want to acknowledge that gay people exist and that it's just straight men falling in love with each other, so this is very refreshing.
