One of the most self sacrificing leads I’ve ever seen. Both of them are such an emotional, selfless couple, it honestly makes their story hit so much deeper.
Personally, I don’t find this drama boring at all. It flows like a novel, where every episode builds the characters without rushing anything. It’s slow, but in the most beautiful and meaningful way 🤍
The costume designer deserves an award 🤌I literally pause scenes just to admire every detail of the outfits. Honestly, the designer has to be a fan of Dilraba
So far, I’m really liking this one. It’s definitely different from all the other C-dramas I’ve watched with very typical storylines. I like the character dynamics and the supernatural elements, it actually reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe’s novels.
This shit is ass so far omg, I'm sorry but I've never felt such a visceral level of disagreement with an on-screen…
Why can’t you say that Dilreba isn’t reciprocating his intensity? Why Feiyu? I feel like he’s doing exactly what a 19 year old general would do best; flirty, smiling, and suddenly giving off mysterious vibes. And Reba is doing justice to what a 400 year old sovereign with no senses would be like. You can’t expect her to match his emotional intensity when her character is literally written to be detached, it’s accurate characterization. The contrast between them is intentional; it’s a slow-burn dynamic. If you can’t wait for the romance to build up, you should probably watch some Netflix western series where they make out in the second episode lol.
This drama is terrible. It makes sense at the beginning, but falls apart halfway through. The two main characters…
That’s literally what I was telling them; calling a drama “terrible” and pushing only their picks as the standard is acting like taste is objective. Also interesting how the list got edited to include “masterpieces” like Nirvana in Fire and Joy of Life after my reply; guess even they weren’t that confident in their original list.

Feud? Lol. TTEOM? Lol. Moonlight Mystique? LOLL. I genuinely thought you’d mention actual masterpieces if you were talking about “taste.” Most of these went downhill in the second half. If you’re comparing them to POJ, POJ still comes out better. And FYI, I actually like all the dramas you mentioned, but lets be Real
MDL is not what it used to be. There are dramas that deserve more than 9 stars. POJ should be 6/7.
It doesn’t seem like you’ve even been on MDL for long, so I’m not sure what you mean by “how it used to be.” Out of the 7 dramas you’ve watched, you chose to comment on one you’ve already dropped? If you don’t like it, just move on, being this bitter for no reason is just sad.
