This drama is already done and it was finished months ago. It was just waiting for the license to air and a date to be released. My guess is It won't ever happen after the scandals with the female lead actress.

"Reba is not white passing and nobody in Europe nor America will considered her as white." BS. I'm sure she sould be thought as White by countless people who don't know anything about her.
Take me as an example.
In Europe I am White until someone hears my nationality then I'm not White anymore LOL. I'm White in my South American country and anywhere else in South America BUT IN THE USA I am considered Hispanic or Latina LOOOL. I'm White as as I can get physically and genetically. Dark brown eyes, dark brown hair, white as paper sheet skin, Italian surname and ancestors coming from four countries in Europe as far I know.
Being White is such a crazy thing nowadays to the point of becoming a subjective issue or something in the eyes of the beholder.

It's craziness to see there are still so many people ignorant (by choice or simply did not care until now) about the issues affecting this drama and other dramas with Korean actors. It's going on since 2016!

I've read a comment on weibo saying it's going to be released after or before the movie with the same name and different cast BUT the movie do not have any not even a rumoured date of release.

This drama is kind confusing with it's casting. In here appears the names of the cast of the movie while I've read on weibo William/Feng Shaofeng is the only one who is rumoured to be in the drama as well.

You've to go after serious web dramas within the genres of crime, thriller mystery and suspense. If you like these genres, of course. China have done and keep on doing these well. They've short number of episodes (some up to 12 episodes only) and many of them do not have romance or very little of it. They do not have famous actors so that's why you don't hear about them.
