It's all fiction and fictional characters going through things in fictional world during a period of human history. That period of history, life is not easy for women like it's in 2021.
Nobody is saying it's acceptable, cool and etc for things like these in the drama to happen in real life in 2021 because the drama do not represent real life of 2021. It's all fiction and fictional characters going through things in fictional world during a period of human history.

He will not be a villain. Thankfully. The thing is that I was shipping him with Liu Xigua but both of them as a couple won't happen according to sources but nothing is really certain on it.

I like the character Chen Fan (the guy in all black with long black hair who is an awesome fighter) ep 17 and 18. So I went to search and find more stuff about the character in Chinese websites. I had already made a couple of scenarios for his future in the drama in my mind and according to what I've found, I'm so wrong. I'll be seriously disappointed if it all turns out to be real.

I'm liking it so far.

I only read the first 15 chapters of the novel and nothing more.
I can say they've change many scenes and a lot of stuff already but somehow I think they're being quite loyal to the novel's essence so far.

I do not like BL so I do not care about the fact they take out it all. I love a good wuxia, interesting characters, interesting stories and that's why I'm watching.

Gu Xiang's dubbing voice which is not from the actress make her sound so much more annoying than I thought based on the novel.

In the novel
The female lead is not the "love interest" of any of the two male main characters. She have her own story going on and her own love interest. She is a disciple/follower/friend of Wen Ke Xing and her love interest is Cao Wei Ning. She is a martial artist, a good fighter and is capable to defend herself. She is annoying and dumb sometimes during the novel, let's hope she isn't as much in the drama. GX and CWN's love story is considered tragic and there is a very sad ending for both of them.
I've read rumours saying the the drama's writers will change drastically GX and CWN's love story. I hope so.

I've never read the novel neither do I know anything beyond the basics and everything I've seeing people posting.
