Maybe it's only me, because almost all the comments here indicate that everybody loved this drama, but I was very mad at the end, they could at least showed us him form behind but not even that! it was very weird and the reason behind him wearing the paper bag was not very convincing and I didn't quite get it. I mean he did that because he could no longer control his face expression's an no one could tell what he was thinking or feeling, but by wearing the paper bag it was the same nobody could tell what his feelings were because there was no expression, so it was the same as always smiling in front of others and hiding your true feelings! Also got mayor 2nd lead syndrome here, I mean Kaichou was always honest with her and his feelings and he was the sweetest person. And for me he deserved the girl here! I mean he was honest, brave, kind and straightforward, everything you want in a lead character.
And finally I found more interesting their friend's love story that is a drama I want to watch!
I totally agree with you it seems Matsubara's growth is the most slowest grow I've seen in a character, the reason behind him wearing the paper bag was not good enough for me and I didn't quite understand it.
There're definitely way better contract relationship dramas out there, this drama is one you'll watch and forget about it, the premise was good, but the execution didn't live up to it. I'm a huge fan of this contract relationships and this was a big let down :(
Nino was very good on this and I think he was a prefect fit for the role. Also the young cast made a wonderful job, this drama definitely has heart though it didn't take me to the point of shedding tears (and when a show does make me cry it's definitely a 9.5 or 10 to me) and that's why I rated it 8. But it's definitely worth the watch.
I love this drama so much! Can anyone give me some advice on a Japanese drama? I've only watched 2 so far…
Definitely watch Love Shuffel!! That's pretty good. And I also recommend Buzzer Beat, Pride, Hana yori dango and Nodame Cantabile talking about romance dramas. I'll also recommend this suspense dramas that are very good: Maou, Rysuei no Kizuna and Liar game.
Overall storywise, this drama didn't have anything out of the typical. At times the cases were predictable, and…
I agree with your comment it was kind of predictable and not so much of suspense n the cases, but I enjoyed watching this drama a lot, it was light hearted, entertaining and the quirkiness of Miyama's character was pretty amusing to watch.
So If anyone is expectin a serious drama they better look for a different one, this is more on the easy going side.
I think overall (drama+movie) they took the story very lightly compared to the manga and I'm kind of disappointed because the manga is awesome and the story is very interesting, so I had hopped that when they made the liveaction it would be as good. I understand there are time constraints (and in this version they had huge ones, since the epsiodes were 20min when normally they are 45min) but I think this story deserves a better adaptation. My last hope was for this movie to get more into the original plot but that was not the case.
