I just want to make things clear, I'm not hating on you... I'm just explaining what's going on with the industry right now. Unfortunately, all actor/actress are categorized into classes. Zhang Yuxi and Song Yi are B-listed actresses. Wu Xuanyi is A-listed (mainly bc she is an idol with a huge fanbase) and Xiao Zhan is AA-list or S (one of the top traffic stars in China right now). And each actor/actress have particular data run on them based on their work and trends, and these numbers are converted into money. So the more monetary value you have, the more "traffic" you are. And if production companies are investing a lot of money into a drama, they want high traffic actor/actress to bring back higher returns such as viewership, ads, magazine covers, variety appearances. This way not only the actors and their agency get money but these production companies also make money. Sometimes the production company and the actor's agency is the same company, sometimes it's not. In that case, 3 parities are getting money. C-dramaland lost a lot of revenue last year so they will try to make up for that during the next few years... They are money-hungry right now so Douluo 2 will pick actresses in the S or A list categorizes. Unfortunately ZYX and SY are not one of them.
