Title Rain or Shine Spoiler
The plot and genre fits my liking but too many cringe and predictable stuff in Ep1 keeps me from keep watching.…
But i really need to talk about the stupid stuff, i need to get them off my chest lol
So the look on 2nd ML's face when he saw FL's project was super dumb like dude, you cannot fall in love with someone because of a sketch they made 😭 FL not using the elevator and walking 16 stories was dumb af. Her meeting ML on the stairs and almost falling backwards (WHO TF FALLS BACKWARDS ON A STAIR COME ON NOW!) and the ML grabbing him was cringe af. The whole family's reaction when the little girl died was so dry, no emotions, not one single goosebump. No boss on the face of this earth has ever given a ride to a total stranger that they saw on a bus stop even if they just worked as a delivery person for you and even walked the stairs up. Last but not least, YOU DO NOT (and physically can not!) bring a man that you found lying on a deserted street with blood all over his body and know nothing about. Even if you did, your dad wouldnt like the idea. The best you could've done was to call the police Even this much dumbness gave me a headache but im sure there was more. I watched in x1.5 and lost my focus.

Title The King of Pigs Spoiler
Just finished EP6 and it's still boring. The action scenes are quite plain, just like you'd see in a random crime…
After watching with x1.5 speed, finally finished this and i dont understand why people call this a masterpiece. It might be more impressive to some people, everyone has different taste but a masterpiece? NO!
So it started getting a tiny bit more interesting starting from EP7 (still not interesting enough for me to watch it in regular speed). And i always knew there would be a plot twist since people were so hyped but it wasnt that great to make me praise this drama. One thing i know for sure is that had this drama been like 6-8 eps, without all that unnecesary flashbacks which even got repetative hence frustrating towards the end, it wouldnt be as draggy and would surely got me more invested in it.
Another thing that was ridiculously funny was the times when grown ass men started acting hysterical whenever Cheol's name was brought up. I mean yes it would be a bad memory for them but not to the point that they'd lose their minds and go clinically crazy or put a bullet in their own brain.
Same goes for Jong Suk. It just doesnt make sense to repress all that anger towards Cheol inside, go be a cop (of all the things he could've been) and go about his day like a normal person. And i saw people writing how they hated that the truth about Cheol's murder didnt come to light and it was unfair for Jong Suk to die like a hero, totally agree with that. But ironically, that was the only realistic thing about this drama. We look up to people as saints who turn out to be monsters.
Overall, i think this drama is overrated. But i also believe that the mood we're in when we watch dramas have a big effect on how we like the dramas. If i watched this another time, when i was in the right mood for this type of content, maybe i'd love it, too.

Title The King of Pigs Spoiler
Finished the first 4 episodes. Honestly, it hasnt showed a trace of a good drama up until now. But since I dont…
Just finished EP6 and it's still boring. The action scenes are quite plain, just like you'd see in a random crime show. Like the FL ordering the whole crew in the police station to go chase the car of the culprit, we watch minutes of police chase on the high way with cars go full speed, doing cut-offs and they finally stop the culprit's car and voila! its not the culprit??? lol Probably 99 out of 100 people watching the show knew from the beginning that it wasnt the culprit.
Another thing that bugs the hell out of me is the flashbacks. It's like im watching 2 dramas simultaneously. I know people will say "it's the main part of the show", obviously i can see that and that's exactly my problem with the show. I generally dont like flashbacks to begin with. Most of the time, they are used as time fillers and they contribute little to nothing to the story. It's a method which i call "lazy writing". Because the writers cannot come up with a whole, consistent, solid story, they just come up with a simple idea and when they cant "make it make sense", they hold on to a flashback to design the story to its current state. So i mostly hate it and this drama is like a flashback hell. Most of which, also, contribute very little to the current story. The writer could've come up with a better way of portraying the relationship between the characters instead of forcing us to watch minutes of bullying scenes from a highschool.
The ending of EP6 was too annoying like the "supposed to be" tension between ML and his nemesis, hours and hours of nonsensical talk, pointing the gun at him but not shooting him and leaving the 3 enemies at the same place... for what? It'd make a little sense if he'd watch them from outside like i genuinely thought that the reason he left the phone and the gun there to play a game with them so they'd go into a fight of survival and then he'd kill the surviving one himself but it was... like wth was that about?
People probably loved this drama because there's gonna be some kind of a plot twist at the last episode but even if it's the best plot twist in the whole world (which i doubt with this poor writing) the road to that pt is boring as hell so im not sure if its gonna worth it.
But i'll keep watching because i dont like leaving shows halfway and with the x1.25 speed, the eps are rather short. Let's see how its gonna turn out!

Finished the first 4 episodes. Honestly, it hasnt showed a trace of a good drama up until now. But since I dont like dropping dramas half way and with 1.25x the episodes are quite short, i'll keep watching. But if it still doesnt get interesting, I might drop. I especially hated the constant flashbacks. I dont understand why we have to go back to highschool years of the ML everytime he plans on killing someone. We get it, he got bullied bad and he wants revenge. I dont think it's necessary for us to see the back story of every murder just to justify the crime.

Hello, did you finish it yet? How were the last 4 episodes. Is it worth watching. I usually dont watch thriller/crime…
Well the comments were mostly right. Ep5 was nice. But for the last 3, which is what this drama is based on, the things that the characters did didnt make sense to me. I wish they came up with another storyline to keep things going. But maybe you'll like it as everyone has different taste. Plus the episodes are rather short so if you can go through the first 4, you'll probably just finish it.

Title As You Stood By Spoiler
Because so many people in the comments said that it goes downhill after ep4, I'm just going to talk about the first 4 eps that i finished watching.
First of all, the plot is obviously devastating, but since it's only a total of 8-ish hours, I wanted to give it a go. I saw comments saying that there is a downside of the plot because murdering the abuser shouldnt be the only way to find peace; i agree with that but this is a short drama that deals with only one topic. If the drama was longer and more inclusive, we would've maybe seen seen her trying other ways (which she did by trying to flee the country or reporting to the police but couldnt). I also liked that they didnt shove the violence scenes in our faces. One of my complaints about dramas these days is how they go full detail on the most horrific, disgusting, gruesome actions. Just because "these things happen in real life" doesn't mean that it should be normal to unfold them in front of millions of people.
Anyways, back to the drama; there was a scene in the 1st episode where the camera kept switching between Eun Su and Jin So Baek constantly. So we start seeing JSB pulling out a cigarette, putting it in his mouth and then the camera switches to Eun Su for a few seconds and when it's back to JSB, he doesnt have a cigarette in his mouth, a few seconds later camera is back to Eun Su and again, few seconds later we see JSB again and he has the cigarette. It was a very obvious mistake and it made me think how Netflix just doesnt give a sh*t about quality anymore, they're just after money. It's the same with dramas made in my country as well (which are much more worse them K-dramas btw). They're extremely cheap, poorly made productions but Netflix still pays them a fortune because people just watch them.
There were a few more scenes where I was like "Why would you do THAT instead of THIS???" but well, not everything is perfect :).
I also didnt understand the end of ep3 where the two women were strangling the husband. It was weird to watch, because that move wasnt quite do-able technically but the weirder thing was they werent actually strangling him :D The man was outside and as he entered the password on the door, they panicked like that was someone else. Imo, that was a very silly scene. Like what, did they both fantasize the same thing at the same time? Similar thing happened when the wife imagined stabbing the husband and causing him fall off the balcony but the general flow of that scene was more natural.
So now I'm anxious because people really trashed the last 4 episodes and i wish the drama stayed at least at this level of quality. Nothing more, nothing less. It's an easy watch but i hope it's also good.

Title The Light in Your Eyes Spoiler
I have way too many thoughts about this drama because it was was way too "crowded". But no matter what type of dramas people enjoy, what they hate etc. everyone can agree on one thing; it was unnecessarily long. The idea behind this drama, the plot was really clever i think. And with this amazing cast, this could've been a masterpiece but it was so poorly scripted that it exhausted me even though I am a fan of slice of life dramas.
I found out about this in a youtube video. The youtuber was talking about his fave kdramas and this was one in his list. But as he couldnt give the actual spoiler, he explained the plot very briefly. Then i read the plot here and it also made me wanna watch it but it was far from what the actual drama is about.
To begin with, i didnt enjoy the first 6-7 episodes at all. I think they were meaningless time-fillers. Because there wasnt any event that made me think "hmm, this is gonna go somewhere, i wonder what happens next". Plus i really hate this extremely goofy, almost stupid characters (aka the brother) and the absurd way the family treated him (esp in the first few eps), it was so cringey and not funny at all.
The old-FL disturbing the ML constantly, stalking him (the scene where the dog bit the old-FL and the ML "felt sth") made me feel very uncomfortable. I get it, they were lovers (and married in real life which we found out later) but i still didnt understand the reason why she stalked him like that.
After i think ep4 or 5, i literally had to come here and read the spoilers just to see what the hell this drama was about. And after i saw that the FL had memory issues, i kept watching in hopes that it would start becoming interesting but no. I actually watched almost all the eps in 1.5 speed, it was that draggy and meaningless. Even after the plot twist at the end of ep10, it still was handled too badly that i just wanted to finish it just to see what happened at the end but ofc compared to the first 10 eps, the last 2 were better. But still, if i knew it was like this, i wouldnt have started it because i literally wasted my time just to find out about a plot twist which wasnt worth it.
I understand that in order to make a striking plot twist and to wow the viewers, scenarists often change the POVs (i didnt watch it but as i learnt from the internet, the movie 6th sense is like that too, the boy didnt know he was dead) but when they use this technique, they need to make as few plot holes as possible, otherwise it's nothing but fooling the viewers. I'd respect them if they did it smartly but creating a whole different world where everything is so detailed even in the scenes where the FL isnt a part of, and then saying "hey, it was all her mind's games because she has alzheimers" is not smart, it's just cheap play and fooling the viewers. I mean there were absurd stuff in that world as well but i mean this is a kdrama so its nothing i havent seen and also a sci-fi genre so anything could've happened anyways.
In the end, im giving it a 7 and thats only because the actors did an amazing job and the overall message of the drama was really good. I wish they did it with a much shorter production and with less plot holes.

I didn't say it was romcom. I tried to give examples of cliches from this drama that we see in romcoms to explain why i thought it was like a romcom. English isnt my native language and I just wrote my thoughts randomly so I might've expressed it vaguely but you can see from my first comment that I was comparing this one to slice-of-life melodramas.

The last 3 episodes went as expected (by me). It's your typical romcom only instead of comedy, there is death here. I cannot make comments based on emotions and feelings because I wasnt able to receive the sentiment that the drama aimed to convey. Everything was way too irrational. I appreciate that in a world full of people who are evil for no reason, egocentric, selfish and unable to empathize with others, this drama portrays even bad people's hearts can turn into good and those who insist on being evil will be alienated. However, that's just not how the world works so it was hard for me to connect with scenario. In fact, when the evil old-friend visited the FL and cried and apologized, I found it hypocritical because thats just easing her own conscience because the person she's been a sh*t to was dying.
The chemisty between the main leads was non existent. They really didnt look good together at all. I'd say it was about the age but the FL in My Dearest is two years younger than the FL here so i dont think it is the age.
Like I said it was like a romcom. Every dream achieved, every conflict solved, every person happy... the only time it got real was when the ML left the auditorium (idk what that room is called), looked at the movie poster and started crying. That was great acting.

Apparently I got pumped up way too early. With the beginning of EP4, boredom started to kick in and the drama started to become average. The FL is being so annoying like why is that in most dramas the women who are "worthy of men's love" have to be this childish, naive, angel-like creatures who smile all the time, even when they're going through hell? It's a cliche in rom-coms, one of the reasons why i dont like rom-coms, so when I saw the same cliche here, it bugged me. I also found the side stories way too absurd and unnecessary. In one of them the FL's first love starts working in the crew for a short time and he sees how divine love between FL&ML is so he gives his blessings to the FL like wtf, she didnt need his blessing? Tbh i didnt even understand their relatinship like whether he was FL's first one-sided love or she was his because the story was so stupid, I skipped most parts. Also the evil-four (sponsor, journalist, FL's old friend and the producer) idea is quite far-fetched, I don't think any of the viewers gave a damn about how it'd turn out. I could name a hundred cringe scenes like the one where FL&ML goes to the hospital for their day off and FL tells the ML to "stay here for a bit" when in fact she goes thru a freaking check up and then celebrates her Bday with her father and then goes back to ML and says "it took a little longer than expected, sorry about that"... WHAT? lmao that was really stupid. And then the next scene we see them sitting on a chair in a flower-making workshop, making flowers and the ML says "why are we here?" i mean... You stopped at the flower shop, apparently someone asked you to go into the workshop room, you sat on the chair, started making flowers and you havent asked "why" this whole time? These kind of irrational scenes really puts me off. Anyways I got 3 more EPs to watch. I don't think it'll get any better, especially after EP9's final scene, like they really didnt have to do that confession. And please dont forget the "first snow", a one of a kind cliche, i was surprised the FL didnt start jumping out of joy screaming "it's the first snow!!! it's the first snow!!! I'll have to endure for 3 more hours, cant drop when i came this far.

Graphic violence is literally one of the tags... And Disney has warnings in the corner of every episode... If…
Adding tags does not change the fact that the more the viewers are exposed to this type of content, the more their subconscious minds are manipulated, which, at first may be subtle but definitely shapes their behaviors over time. So it's not only about "you", it's about everyone!

I don't understand why people say this drama is "slow", I think it's pretty dynamic compared to my other favorites Something in the Rain and My Liberation Notes. Or maybe it'll slow down in the upcoming eps (not complaining about the pace right now btw). The only issue with this drama is that I recently watched "My Dearest" and whenever the ML talks, my mind goes to that show and I find myself thinking about whether I should rewatch that drama and lose focus on this one :D I hope the rest of the episodes will be just as good, or even better!

I stopped watching the series after that excessively violent and bloody scene at the beginning of episode 5. I really don't understand what these producers are aiming for by filming such horrific, disgusting scenes. To enjoy these scenes, people would either have to be psychopaths, cruel, devilish characters like the main villain, which is a huge problem. Or they would have to be so mentally numb that these scenes no longer bother them, which is an even bigger problem!

This drama has been in my planning to watch list for a long time because the story seemed interesting to me (not the one written here, obviously, it's way too simple). But i learned my lesson about overhyped dramas (esp. those with high MDL rating) and that is; they are mostly overrated. However, this one's an exception. I'm normally pretty good at predicting what comes next in dramas; both in terms of the story itself and even in terms of the next scene most times but for this one, couldnt predict anything. It's not like it was full of surprises or anything but it always had that "curiousity factor" that made me binge watch and finish the whole seasons in like 2-3 days. So if you're like me and think that this might be your type of drama but hesitate that it might disappoint you; im pretty sure it wont disappoint you.
Ps. Dont let the first couple of episodes to change your mind, it gets better!

It's f.king annoying to watch and what's even more annoying is that it's like this in all historical dramas; most of the the lower class/servants are portrayed as dumb, immature people if not all. If this season was longer, I would've dropped it. Because even though the episodes are not even an hour long, i found some of them pretty boring. I couldnt care less about Solomon's parts. His story didnt interest me a bit, his lack of acting skills got me cringe and he looked the fakest when speaking Japanese. So i think it would've be a lot better if they didnt use the time swapping thing because the old Sunja's time didn't serve anything new to the story either.
I also didn't like the fact that we had to spend a whole hour related to LMH's character's past. I just found out now that this series has a second season so im hoping his background story will somehow have an effect somewhere other than him using an earthquake reference when talking to his kid.
Overall, Sunja's life, her struggles and her victories were the only reason i stayed and will watch S2. And i gotta say, i know it's war and it's bad but it was a "war". Both sides suffered (people can argue Koreans were the ones who suffered more) but i find it hard to shed a tear for something that happened in the past when there is literally a genocide happening right the f..k now like people being starved to death, being forced to leave their OWN LAND, having to survive in tents with no food, no water let alone electricity or other basic utilities and like it's not enough, being burned alive in their sleep by israel. So to me, it was obvious that the husband was cheating because it's like the number one rule of this type of dramatic…
So apparently i was right about the sister but who cares because it didnt have anything to do with the rest of the show just like the husband meeting with the neighbor in a hotel room and many other stupid details didnt. It's just another drama where a corrputed politician is taken down by the law in the most magnificent way possible (like live stream on huge LEDs all across country lol)

A murder case is solved after 10 years when a woman on deathbed who hasnt said a word for years says the word "tablet" and then the neighbor (who was just another useless side character) talking about it at the same time AFTER 10 YEARS WHILE THE CCTV ON HER HOUSE ACTUALLY SHOWED THE KID LEAVING THE HOUSE WITH THE DAMN TABLET IN HIS HANDS, AGAIN 10 YEARS AGO OMG its so crazy how they wrapped the story in the most stupid way and wasted people's time!

Oh and MAGICALLY the tablet had just the perfect voice recording of all the sh*t that the bad guys did just like in so many other cases people randomly AND MAGICALLY obtained other people's phone call recordings like they're the cia lmao And then we have the ML who is literally a teenage boy but got all those congressmen on a table luring them into some conspiracy against the presidential candidate (i cant even remember whether they did whatever the hell ML told them to do because i kept skipping most of the last 3 episodes).

Like i said, a huge waste of time. The ML looked annoying af, he literally had just one expression. I feel sorry everyone, including myself, who wasted their time on this show which was apparently upvoted by the ML's fans.
