Oh, wasnt i supposed to? Because you're a delusional maniac who actually say stuff to people but think you're talking to yourself? Woww... your people need to take you to a mental clinic asap. (Not gonna lmfao becuz your situation isnt funny you poor thing :( )
I watched the first 4 eps. It's ok so far. Im hoping it'll get more exciting, otherwise i might have to drop it…
So to me, it was obvious that the husband was cheating because it's like the number one rule of this type of dramatic shows. FL will suffer from all kind of pain and the way the husband acted looked like he did some sh*t.
Anyways, by the end of ep4, they made it seem like the neighbor woman is the one in the photo but i doubt it. Right from the start, i had the feeling that the "sister" will be up to some stuff and i think this is it. Tbh, i was expecting the sister to run to FL's house to be with the husband after she sent off the FL at the airport. Or wait... maybe she did run there... :)
I dont think that "leaving the door open" is a crime big enough to put the mother behind bars but well, the story needed a reason so here we are. My theory is that the sister did went to FL's house to be with her husband (they could easily trick the kid since the kid knows her as his aunt) but when the FL turned up out of the blue, the sister had to sneak out and obviously didnt care about leaving the door shut.
As for the husband and neighbor meeting at a hotel room; i kinda think the photographer might be the neighbor or someone she is collaborating with to get revenge from the husband. The revenge might be because the neighbor has feelings for him but he didnt accept her feelings at all or, they did meet for a while and then he dumped her to be with the sister. The second makes more sense because the photo is dated to when the FL was in prison. So the revenge feeling must be new. As in the neighbor was with the husband before the killings happened, and after the FL went into prison, at some point the husband left the neighbor and got together with the sister.
I hope this drama gets more exciting and intriguing because the plot is good, otherwise it would be a shame.
I watched the first 4 eps. It's ok so far. Im hoping it'll get more exciting, otherwise i might have to drop it because this pace isnt gonna do it for me. Plus, it's still not interesting enough. I have a theory about "the door", wrote it in the spoiler below.
Just finished ep4. Normally i would've dropped this at the 1st ep because it's not "my type of" comedy, it's not…
As someone who always looks for logic, traces from real-life, adults being adults in dramas, this one somehow managed to hook me up and it was pretty surprising to my own self. Honestly all the crazy coincidences, childish actions of the adults (the gang members doing silly things that even 10 years olds would find embarrasing), the way they tried so hard to make the ML look scary (his father saying "you have my blood, ofc you're a bad person", or gang members gasping and clearing the way for him etc) were quite ridiculous to me but the good thing is, the drama was SO predictable that i knew exactly when the cringe parts will come so i just swithced to another tab until the cringe was over :D One more thing that bothered me was the FL being so close to 2nd ML. The love triangle was really forced and unnatural. But overall, i somehow could finish this because it was fun (not "funny" imo), most of the characters did their parts pretty well. Oh and i really wish we could see more from Ko Yang Hui, i think his role was great. And tbh he looked even more scary than the ML lol So i guess i needed something like this nowadays. 7 felt too low, 8 felt too high so it's a 7.5 for me.
Just finished ep4. Normally i would've dropped this at the 1st ep because it's not "my type of" comedy, it's not romance (at least not yet), it's way too cringe, full of cliches but somehow it makes me wanna keep watching. I guess this is what i need right now so let's see if i'll be able to endure all that for 12 more episodes. :)
Dropped at ep5. There's nothing to look forward to. It's just another crime drama sprinkled with corruption & politics & injustice between rich and poor & super-hero stuff.
One word: looooooooooong! It's a 7 for me. I had dropped this before, but came back and restarted from ep1 just to give it another chance. Still don't understand the hype.
Even though i'm a fan of this genre, i kinda lost interest on ep4 where the mother said "we killed her". After…
Finished. I think it's overrated. Too many plot holes imo. One of them is why would Na Gyeom do such a stupid thing as suggesting to help those two sh*ts clean up the mess of the murder? First; they're not really her friends (she's an outcast). Second; Bo Yeong was nothing to her. I'd understand if she was Go Jeong Woo's girlfriend but no, she wasnt so why bother? Third; as far as i see, NG doesnt care about anyone else but herself so it doesnt make sense for her trying to cover for the two killer boys because in the end, who would've guessed that the chief of police would be a literal son of a b*tch and put GJW in jail knowing it wasnt him who murdered the girls? Also, i kinda want to believe that this part is different in the novel, its quite funny that someone randomly goes into a barn and do some painting there, another one is also there for God knows why and witnesses a murder, another one brings her other lover there to make out with him even tho it should've been the most undercover secret ever as they're both cheating on their partners. Like i said in my previous comment, i mostly looked at my phone and relied on my korean while watching, only looking at the screen when i thought something important was going on so i might've missed a thing or two but it wasnt exciting enough so. And pleaseeeee, if someone has that much blood coming out of their head and stayed in the same position for that long... THEY WILL DIE! No chance that she would wake up just to be killed again with a shovel, seriously that was lame.
Even though i'm a fan of this genre, i kinda lost interest on ep4 where the mother said "we killed her". After that, it felt like it's just a bunch of shady actions done by each and every village people to drag the story. I know it's based on a novel and i'm not sure if the novel also goes like this. If it is, i'd probably drop that book, too. But i'll keep on watching hoping it will become a little more interesting to the point that i'll have to keep my eyes on the screen rather than playing games on my phone out of boredom and using the drama as a background noise. And that Na Gyeom irritates the hell out of me with her clingy, pshychologically problematic behavior. I think she also has sth to do with the murder. (not murders because i believe the other girl is alive) And no disrespect but the way Go Bo Gyeol speaks cause my ears bleed. She really needs to take some diction classes. I'm not saying this because she has a lisp, i think she's rolling words in her mouth (idk if thats a saying in english). As an actor, she needs to have a more clear pronounciation.
I tried to finish this, i really did. It has many elements that i love; winter scenery, slow burn romance, fun side characters, slow pace etc. But the constant flashbacks got extremely annoying. It feels like they couldnt come up with a wide plot to make a whole season of drama so they brought the memories of various people together just to fill the time. But the thing is, the stories arent interesting at all. The characters have a small conversation and bam! we're going on a trip down to memory lane. Why does everything has to relate to the past, it's not a psychological drama after all? I'd like to see what's going to happen in their current and future lives. Dropped it at ep11. Maybe there'll come a time when i'll enjoy this drama because the general vibe really fits my taste.
Ok so i might need a little help here. :') I've been dropping a lot of dramas in their first 1-2 episodes lately. So i decided that, even if it's boring, cliche, draggy etc, i'll give all dramas i start a 4-episodes chance. I just finished the 4th episode of this one and im kinda stuck between dropping or keep going. First of all, i dont mind slow dramas. I actually like them. My 2 faves are SiTR and MLN. But in both dramas, i found a piece of me. Be it the age, the stage they went thru etc. Also the main couples had great chemistry. And there were some kind of real action (doesnt have to be physical) in both. However in this one, i still havent felt that connection. They're not boring or irritating or anything, but they're not, in any way, attractive either (i dont mean that as in their physical features, i mean their personalities). The story isnt half as draggy as my fave dramas tbh, so if the pace is this level, im fine. I do hate the frequent flashbacks tho, they are very verryy unnecessary imo. They're not telling an interesting story or add any complementary element to the current story either so why so many flashbacks? So should i go on? This is a romance so obv the main couple will start dating but if it's gonna tell the story of village people's advantures or boring childhood memories of the couple, i think it'd be a waste of time. What should i do?
Slow burn romance: cool for me Slow pace: dont mind at all I mean Something in the Rain and My Liberation Notes are my two most favorite shows for crying out loud :D But..! I'm also boringly realistic. If the story is out of the ordinary as a whole, and doesnt have too many plot holes, i like it. But if the story is extremely common but the events are not natural in the flow of life, i cant watch it. No matter how much of a pushover the ML is (which is extremely out of the ordinary and doesnt make sense) you as an intern, cannot act like a piece of s**t to him. It's so against the flow of life. No boss will ever stand that. Plus everything was so predictable, no surprises. I hated the ML and i hated the FL even more. Zero chemistry and both were repulsive in their own ways. Tbh i was more excited about Hye Seoung's love life but i already endured longer than i should have (8 eps) and wont be watching any longer. So if you're a realistic piece of s**t like me, i dont think you'll enjoy this.
Most actors did a great job but Kang Heon's wife irritated the hell out of me at some scenes where she tried to act like a badass person (ie. during the board meeting where she got up and walked out of the door and said "idiots" while walking) The way she "tried to" smirk was, idk why but, cringe to watch, looked extremely forceful. But I must say she did an extraordinary job at dramatic scenes like where she cried for her son. Got my eyes filled with tears. Also Eun... omg she was one of the cringiest characters I've ever seen! It's one thing to try and look naive and kind but it's another thing to look like a person with a mental problem which, unfortunately, she did.
There are a lot of comments on the story and stuff but the reason why it's not a 9 or 10 for me because I hate it when directors do that thing where they start the show/movie with a "cause" and we all watch the whole thing based on that "cause" but at the end of the thing, they show us an altered and REAL version of the thing that happened and think they "made a twist". No, it's not a twist. It's fooling the people watching your show and it's a very dumb and easy way to "trick" the audience. It doesnt make you a smart and creative director, it makes you a lazy ass who couldn't think of a more creative way to surprise the audience.
For me, whether Ho Yeong killed Sang Hyeon accidentally or on purpose wouldnt matter. The mom would kill Ho Yeong either way and Song Pan Ho would try to keep it as a secret to protect his son no matter if his son did it accidentally or on purpose. The absurd thing for me is, why a criminal man like Kang Heon would even hesitate killing the guy who killed his son? Why would he try to negotitate with a judge? He has done and kept doing so many wrong things and got away with it, how come he makes a deal with a judge who he believed killed his son and later learned that it's the judge's son who killed his son?
So like I said, the director apparently didnt bother coming up with a more creative plotline so he based the story on "whether the accident was an actual accident or was it planned" which, imo, wouldnt make any difference. And he thought he made a twist showing us the version where Ho Yeong was innocent at the first episode and showed us he did it on purpose on the final episode. Idk maybe he thought he would expect us to go "ohh he did it on purpose, ok then he definitely deserved to die!"??? Very lazy.
Literally been dragging myself to watch since like ep 8-9. I'm on ep13 and i really dont have any will to keep going. I think it's way too cringe for a historical drama. I know it's not a law that a historical drama should be serious but, as someone who doesn't like over-reactions, over-gesturing (not sure if these are literal terms but i think people get what i mean), it looked weird and funny on most characters, especially on older ones. The gender-crossing thing was also bearable to some point but it got weirder and absurd.
Anyways, by the end of ep4, they made it seem like the neighbor woman is the one in the photo but i doubt it. Right from the start, i had the feeling that the "sister" will be up to some stuff and i think this is it.
