"kdramas require some thinking and good sense of humor" who lied to you?
I already see many kdrama fans complaining about kdramas dying and becoming shittier bc of western pandering so I wonder how long it will take until kdramas truly die out? Maybe 5 more years maybe less.
Excellent review and even tho some may think the rating of 2/10 is too low for a "well produced" drama I agree with the rating. I really don't care how much money was put into the production if the end product is a garbage story with characters who lack any sort of depth. You addressed all the points that make this drama overrated garbage.

Ahjumma letâs get you off facebook first. Youâre pushing 50, no wonder all you want is lightness and warmth in your entertainment. Blocking me is doing me a favor so go ahead. All this spiritual bs is funny.
In Can this love be translated that just came out she plays a character with a lot of trauma and emotional issues
I watched it and she did a good job but didnât find the drama itself to be all that great unfortunately. I have higher hopes for this one seeing who the writer is tho.
it's the obsession you have lol. It's okay if you think she's not doing a good job as an actress but to comment like 4 times back to back saying the same shit? it gets to a point like cmon stop being a fucking bum.

what the fuck are you on about LMFAOO?? "I feel abused" miss me with that victim complex. Western shows will continue to shit all over korean dramas because you like that hopeful and warmth dogshit. Yea I can tell you haven't watched tv in decades because your taste is HORRIBLE.
They'd never do this to a man bc they accept anything and everything from them. They're clearly insecure and envious…
Oh 100%, the amount of times I've checked some actors profile on here (who have been involved in some scandal) it's always a bunch of boymoms defending them like their life depends on it, and it's literally for a bunch of mediocre looking untalented men who get carried by their female leads.

Then I think we simply share different values when it comes to entertainment. I don't mind some lightness and comedy in my shows but that's just not something I can always sit down and watch. I prefer shows like my mister that show a different harsher side to life. I find these shows to be better because they can actually write complex and deep characters with a rich story. Also quite surprised you don't know any of the shows I mentioned considering they're extremely popular but that's fine. I don't think you'd like any of them from what I understood about your comments.
Some of you boymom fangirls should really calm down with the unnecessary hate towards these actresses. Never see yall attacking any manâs appearance like yall do to these women who havenât even been involved in any controversy. I donât even like this drama but I was still surprised to see it with a rating of 7.8 which on this site is pretty low considering a lot of dogshit gets rated 8.3 and higher. Must be a lot of bitter KHY haters review bombing it lol.

Yes I thought My Mister was great, same with dramas like My liberation notes, mouse, and misaeng. I do like subtle and thoughtful stuff with layers of emotion and depth tho? I donât know why you assume I donât when thatâs my main issue with a lot of kdramas is that they donât really explore the themes they try to portray properly or they never go too into depth and just rely on cliche and overdone tropes that kill the flow of the entire drama.
As for what shows are good in western media you have a bunch of classics like the wire, the shield, sopranos, breaking bad, and house md but those are all pretty old now but for somewhat ânewerâ shows letâs say since 2018-2025 you still have gems like succession, severance, dark, pluribus, arcane, and andor to name a few. Correct me if Iâm wrong here but it seems like you donât like âhopelessâ shows that are somewhat realistic even if theyâre depressing and heavy.
No offense to the wife but they could've done without her entire character ?? she had no chemistry with either…
She was used as a plot device throughout the entire show which was disappointing but I don't agree with 2nd part of your comment. From the flashbacks we saw it did look like she was interested in him enough to call him a crush but it's true like you said that he was definitely more obsessed with her than she was with him which just came off as forced to advance their relationship in the present which was also dumb asf.
Finished this drama and it was extremely disappointing. Should've known the second they decided to force a very silly love triangle/love square in a noir crime thriller for some odd reason. Good mc and I liked his growth and conflict but he was the only standout character in this series, everyone else was either very bland or used as plot devices. I will say I really liked bibi in this and this is my first time seeing her acting. She killed her role in this! overall I still enjoyed it despite the sloppiness but the only reason this seems to be praised is because it's one of the few gang crime dramas out there. There's better korean movies about this.
One of the worst shows I think I've ever watched. Actually laughable how it tried to portray the trauma of being bullied but does a shit job at it without ever actually expanding on it. Relies on too many flashbacks that simply waste time even though the drama is already short enough so you'll get episodes with a bunch of flashbacks and plot conveniences. Also by farrrr the most useless cop I've seen in anything. 4/10.

don't necessarily agree with S-lines and discovery of love but walking on thin ice is indeed a heavy hitter and a drama I would consider to be great but I was more curious about what shows you meant when you refer to the "cesspool of entertainment" because if you mean western shows then I still think there are some good shows being put out that aren't mindless sex or violence. HEAVILY agree with your last sentence lol, garbage dramas.
