This comment describes exactly what I felt with Goblin. XD
I don't disagree, but the thing about staying the same age for thousand of years, is that we would all seem childish to him. I also thought that if you had to wait all those years to find your "true love/soul mate" and you know that if your lucky, you're only going to get maybe 70 years with them... why wouldn't you start a relationship with them once they're legal?
This comment describes exactly what I felt with Goblin. XD
I can see that, but the problem is that the age gap was huge no matter who his bride was going to be... plus when you need to remember that when he was still a human, teenage girls married older men. It was the norm for him, and he waited until she felt the same way about him, so it didn't feel pervy to me.
Why do people say that when both of them are adults? Pedophilia is when an adult preys on a child... if both of the people are adults, even if there's a big age gap, it's not pedophilia.
If no one can get to Sureomdong unless Oh Gong calls how did Ma Wang get there before? Are we back at square one…
I see where you are coming from, but he already knows how he feels.. he's not stupid, He knows he loves her madly, and he knows she loves him the same way. That's why the bracelet is so important. Without it. the problem I see is that he's a god, an "eternal". Why would he risk their absolute destruction when he knows he'll be able to find her again in multiple lifetimes? It's the bracelet that makes it impossible for him "ignore" this lifetime.
I thought so. Some people would call this a revenge drama, but it's more about his survival and his getting justice. He gets justice for himself and his family from his grandfather, he serves an almost perfect "revenge" to the person who killed his family, and he's able to walk away as clean as can be expected when you've been wrestling in the mud.
I dont think that he slept with her, they never showed such a thing they just showed the door closing, i believe…
I'm pretty sure he did. When she walked in on him while he was walking around in nothing but a towel, neither one of them were uncomfortable, not to mention all the other creepy touchy-feely stuff she did when they where alone. When PJ is choking MR he says, "I know everything about you from head to toes." add that to his closing the door and staying with her... I don't know what more you need. It's a TV drama, not a movie. No he's not stupid, and yes he hated her, that's why he did it! He knew that even if she never when to jail, when she finds out he's Eun Cheon, she'll start to go crazy. He's made himself indispensable in "every" aspect of her life, she trusted him so much she kills her former lover, who's place PJ takes, the person who actually loves her... he wants her helpless, so that without him she'll collapse like a house of cards.
Some people may disagree, but I loved this ending.
I've said this before but Pil Joo was like Batman.
I called it way back in episode 8..., His father didn't commit suicide he was murdered. but the reason was a surprise. Turns out Mal Ran was in love with his father, and he was going to leave her. You can't really blame him, he didn't want to marry her in the first place, and he knew that BC wasn't his biological child. The smile that PJ gives her before he leaves the prison visiting room was priceless! She means nothing to him, not even the knowledge she murdered his father, bothers him. He's done!
I do feel bad for Boo Cheon. If anyone is wondering, it's clear that PJ loved BC like a brother. Why wouldn't he? Up until six or seven years ago PJ thought BC was his half-brother. It's the reason the only "Jang" that didn't serve jail time was BC. I think it's also the reason he didn't stop the marriage.once MH decided she was in love with BC. He knew he was going to hurt BC in ways that were unimaginable, and that was before he found out BC's father Sec. OH. was the one who drowned his brother. That's why it's so sad for BC when he finds out his mother killed his father, and was the one who was responsible for PJ becoming an orphan on the run. At that point the best thing BC can do for PJ is walk away and leave him alone to live his life.
I thought it was interesting how he answered both his grandfather and BC when they needled him about how pitiful he was because he spent his life seeking revenge. PJ doesn't believe that for a minute. His goal wasn't to get revenge, it was to make them pay their debts. It was about getting justice, and cleaning up the mess that the Jang family made...it was about showing that's SKILL, not "blood" that matters in the end.
Mo Hyun was consistent to the end. She has a very "romantic" view of the man she's in love with... she's never really been able to "see" and accept his ruthless side. This is a man who used her to get to her father. When he tells her he's sorry, what he's sorry about is that she got hurt in the process, he was really hoping that she would be happy with BC. I think PJ was telling her the truth back when she first found out that he was the man who arranged her marriage to BC. He's not "in love" with her. PJ tells the truth whenever possible, but especially when he's talking to BC or MH, He made his choice, love or justice, and he chose justice. He's fine with that and he owns it. I love it when she says something about how thankful she is that he won't come any closer to her because he respects her too much... but that's she afraid what would happen if he did.....so he takes that step forward and tempts her, and she resists the temptation. That's my man! LOL.
It must have been refreshing for PJ to go jail for something he actually did this time. He actually doesn't serve three years, it was more like maybe three months and year probation, because there's still snow on the ground when he walks out of jail . Remember he's a lawyer. I'm sure he cut a deal for the help he gave in making the corruption case possible, plus he wasn't above using dirt he had on other people in the justice system. You can tell because when MH asks PJ to try out for the CEO position, she's only been in charge for two years.
So it took about 22 yrs, but, at 37 yrs old, Kang PIl Joo is finally free to become Ahn Eun Cheon once more. If Kang Pil Joo is Batman, Ahn Eun Cheon is Bruce Wayne. For those of you who think he and Mo Hyun will get together, think again. Once he gets out of prison, if there's contact between them, it's either by accident, or she contacts him. When he applies for the Chairman position, I think he does it under his real name, because she's surprised to see him walking out. He's willing to have a business relationship, but that's all. Think about it. That part of his life is done, and he doesn't want to hurt BC. He slept with the man's mother, he's not going to go after his ex-wife too. Plus they aren't right for each other and he knows it. If PJ is like Batman, MH is like Rachel Dawes, and what he needs is a Selina Kyle! It's time for Eun Cheon to find his "Catwoman".
The symbolism in the last scene where he walks out from his interview is really pretty great.... The sky's the limit for Eun Cheon! His future is clear and bright no matter what happens when it comes to Cheong A!
they bettter not give me a sad ending like uncontrollably fond i won't accept it
With Uncontrollably Fond, you knew he was dying from the first episode. The question was how was he going to spend the remaining time he had left? I had high hopes because of rant to woman in the interview.... instead he wasted all the time they could have been together, doing stuff that could have been handled by private investigators and lawyer after he died. I was so disappointed with that drama.
I have to finish SFD I only watched a couple eps! I luv Yoo Ah In's dramas I think one of my fav of his, is Jang…
My favorite that he's in is Secret Love Affair! He's good in everything he's in, including Fashion King... which had a terrible ending, he played a jerk, but he was still good in it. LOL
Don't watch either one of those historical s... watch Six Flying Dragons Same for those office romance ones... watch Protect the Boss You'll thank me for this.
do you know anywhere else I could watch this with eng subs?
Thank you... too bad, I was hoping to watch Matsumoto Jun in his first role, plus I heard it was good. (sigh) If you hear anything, please let me know.
No woman is "asking to be raped". Comments and attitudes like this are the reason why sexual harassment and sexual…
When I was younger something similar happened to me while I was in the military. I was too naive to understand what that jerk wanted from me, so no, I didn't say anything to anyone about what was going on. I was in a serious relationship, and I thought it was obvious I wasn't interested in anyone else. (Luckily I wasn't raped.) I didn't tell my boyfriend, instead, I went to a senior female and asked for her advice on how to handle the situation. Why didn't I tell him? Because he would have gone to jail after he tried to kill the man that assaulted me. BTW the advice I got was, don't report it because you don't want to be known as "that girl". Instead, she advised me to go to counseling, which I did. My point is most women don't report for a variety of reasons... but a big one I've heard over and over during group is a sense of self-shame. "It was my fault, because"..... "I shouldn't have been there.", "I had been drinking.", "I must not have been firm enough with the no." etc, etc. etc. And what I'm saying is that it's NOT the woman's fault, no one asks to be raped. Period!
