So I think this was suposed to be funny but I just found it insulting and boring. The only good thing about the king is that he's the king. Wuyan is presented as "ugly" but of course she looks fine. I would have been more impressed if they actually had hired an "unatractive" actress and had her win the kings heart with her skills, wit, and political savvy. If you want to watch a better version of this story I sugest Zhong Wu Yan a modern-day version. The female lead in it is actually very beautiful but it does a good job of allowing the fiance a chance to grow and see Wu Yan as the woman who is worthy of love and loyalty.

Don't ever watch the K-drama Boys Over Flowers then lol. The lead girl who is training to join the Korean national swim team almost drowns like 5 times.

Weird that you should say that. My mom speaks English very poorly, but she understands it very well. She tends to mix English with elements of she native language when she speaks.

If you plan to watch the Reply series, save the 1988 one for last. I liked the 1st one, the 2nd was just okay, but the 3rd one was wonderful and my personal fav.

I don't know if I agree with you. CPT (cognitive processing therapy) is very good and patients often see amazing improvements in their quality of life within a year of starting therapy. Mei was horrified that her obsession with Ibuki almost killed Mutsumi so she would have been highly motivated to change her behavior. I'm not saying Mei is "cured" of her trauma, I'm saying that she learned to stop the trauma from holding her back.

The ending shows she probably did. I don't see Mei being able to have a group of friends without therapy.

I just finished watching it too. I think that ending is sometime in the future. Ibuki is looking at the people who were important to her during her freshman year of high school. Mutsumi is physically healthy and playing sports. Mei is mentally healthy. has a group of friends, and is popular. Nao is still his charming self, but now he's more comfortable in his skin. Last but not least Ibuki is happy!
