He should be punished according to the law. But if it's true that he has underlying problems with anger he also needs treatment for that. Otherwise the same thing will happen again and again, ruining the lives of everybody involved.

I think Genki is a full-time actor in his public life. He seems to work at his image very self-consciously. That was actually the meaning behind my original "give Genki the roles" comment. I'd like to see him develop as an actor.

I know what I'm talking about, and still I draw a line between starring in idol vehicles and acting. Idol vehicles only exist to get these kids' faces known. The drama wouldn't have been made if they didn't have a bunch of Johnny's to put in it, like every other drama in this slot. It's a good chance for them to build their skills, and some of them will progress out of idol roles, but for now they're all amateurs.
I disagree that they make it look real anyway. I think Shige in particular was bad in this drama, but Yasui has improved since Sprout.

"3. a person inexperienced or unskilled in a particular activity". I'm not sure why you'd throw me a dictionary definition of "amateur" anyway. We have different views as to what makes an actor an actor, that's all.

Not really. Amateur = non-professional. If they've only acted in idol vehicles then they're amateurs. Not necessarily bad at what they do, but amateurs nonetheless.

His work is bland. I imagine he thinks up an idea and has to force in the other requirements of a decent story. His characters are so shallow I just can't bring myself to care about the bad fortunes that befall them.

I know it's a romance and the characters are intended to be closer in age than the actors. But as soon as there's physical contact between the actors I'm out. 14 is 14.
