More than half of your favourites die? That must be some kind of record. xD I think my most traumatic experience in manga was Death Note.
My BBJ rules are "1 drink every time there's a fight, 2 drinks if it's over a girl", "1 drink for any mention of gang loyalty/rules", "1 drink when boys fail at love" etc. These things happen a lot and I made the mistake of playing by every rule. My mails to my friend got more and more nonsensical. xD I'll choose more carefully for the next round, whenever that will be.

A drama Battle Royale! xD But all of the dramas I've started so far are interesting. Well, apart from one, but I'm obligated to watch that one to act as interpreter. xD So far I've only dropped one and put another on hold.

I'm usually clueless when guessing another person's bias. I use favourite characters and idols as personality tests. "If you like X, you're probably Y kind of person..." But I don't really understand it when people use the same tactics against me, like with Ouran and Kyoya. xD

The length is my main problem, plus I'm not familiar with the actors so I don't have an incentive to watch every episode. And I can't stand chaebol plots.
As for K-Pop... I don't really get it. Give me kitschy J-idol sparkles and rainbows any day. =) I do love SNSD though.

Kanjani8 fan. I don't know a lot of Arashi's new stuff but Time is one of my favourite J-Pop albums ever. And for the past month I've been on an idol kick so I'll fangirl pretty much anybody, some more than others. I could go on for hours though, so I'll stop. xD

Linguistics isn't hard so far, but there's a lot of reading and memorising. Japanese is like an extra-credit thing, but it's easily my favourite lecture. xD I learn more by listening and studying kanji alone anyway.

Did it get better?

I always end up dropping K-dramas. My resolution is to watch a whole five of them this year. Scary... But I hardly ever drop a J-drama. Other than that I like Japanese idols, music and variety shows. =) Judging by the comments in your profile you're an Arashi fan?

I'm a part-time student, studying... various things. But right now my modules are in Linguistics and Japanese. Nursing must be difficult though.

I don't think I watched the second one. Lost Days is just going to be one of those shows that tries and fails to say something deep about people and relationships.

Yeah, I agree with that. It's not often that kids are given distinct personalities in dramas, and if they are it's usually in relation to adults.
