The Goto you are not going to forget.

Season 2 starts where season 1 left the story. Season 2 reveals the background of the characters which were introduced in the first season with some new characters.
I really enjoyed the season 2. Season 1 was more about suspense whereas season was more about action. The gun fighting scene between goto family and police, was really good. I don't know about the technicalities, but at that scene we start to see how brainwashed the family is.
And the person at center is Goto Gin. I don't know if I'm going to remember any other name from this series, but I'm going to remember hers. The season 1 started with her. After that, she was mentioned throughout the season 1 and finally we get the big revelation in season 2. I am not going to reveal here.🙊
She seems like a person who doesn't have any emotions and most of the time do things to gain something but she did love her child. It is clearly shown it the series. She loved her child untill her death. She is really a strong antagonist. Though her storyline followed a clićhed villain pattern - wronged, then doing wrong.
Now let's talk about Keisuke. The actor who played Kaisuke really did a good job. He has clearly shown the pressure he is under. His portrayal makes the conflict feel realistic and intense.
Now our male lead. He played the role of a lunatic police officer. Which was a breath of fresh air to me. Because he is not the ideal character to begin with. Neither in season 1 nor in season 2. Which makes his character more human rather than being larger life. He behaves compulsively. He has his ego and sometimes he made poor decisions. Does it destroyed the show- No. Does this makes the show more intense- Yes. And always remember, our male lead stays protected with the plot armor until the last episode.
The series has gore element in it. For which I appreciate the VFX team and Prosthetic Effects team👏🏻👏🏻. They have done really great job. If you have a weak stomach, it will make you uncomfortable, especially, the last episode.

Now what I didn't like in the series,
Apart from male lead, there are two characters who are basically unkillable. These two also have plot armor untill the end. Then what's the problem? The problem is male lead didn't get hurt much. But these two survived after getting shot multiple times. At one point, I was like, yes, yes, he is not going to die, just move to the next scene.
Yuki doesn't have much to do in this season.
I don't really know why sumire's character existed. Maybe she existed to show us the humane side of Keisuke and Gotos.

Honorable mention,
Mashiro my creep magnet, played by Kokone Shimizu, really did a wonderful job. She showed the emptiness on her face in a particular incident happened in season 1.👏🏻👏🏻

The series has many characters and it is not possible to talk about them one by one. The actors did a really good job. They made us belive that these things are happening.

Now back to the story, by the end the story reaches to a point where it becomes difficult to identify who is the victim and who is the perpetrator.

I really enjoyed the show. After a long time, if someone asks me about this show, the name I am going to remember is Goto Gin.

If you like gore, violence, action and drama, go for it.
