It is a perfectly good drama even from many neutral viewers pov, otherwise so many passerby's wouldn't have like it. FL character was fine. I don't see why you think her character was ruined.

TTEOTM was good. Yeah they had to leave out some stuff due to the new episode rule, but it was still logical.
Yeah I suppose it all comes down to personal preferences. I loved TTEOTM and already watched it twice.

I agree. Youku has had a string of successful dramas whether it's modern or costume. Something else happened here.

It is not about following the novel exactly. Changes are inevitable in adaptations but some dramas have done it in better ways.
