It’s hard to sympathise with characters when they have zero development and backstory + the ending was very anticlimactic, it makes sense

I actually think people give it bad rating because it’s main stream, like the whole world is interested not…
I doubt it’s the mainstream aspect of it that people dislike (not speaking for everyone Ofc!), it’s the sudden shift from seriousness compared to s1 that genuinely threw me off. Visually, s2 is STUNNING, but most of the newer characters weirdly felt one dimensional and extra unrealistic (e.g. the existence of Thanos, everyone being overly enthusiastic etc.) not to mention the COMPLETE abandonment of seriousness throughout all the games
