it is scheduled for release around jan-march :) so yeah earliest might be january but we cannot be sure about that as it haven't get the airing liscense yet.

he had never deliberately wronged anybody in this drama, instead all that happened was because he actually did not believe that anyone would ever choose him over anything else if they were given the chance. soo many people have let him down including his own father, they used him and took advantage of his kind heart for their own selfish desire. my heart really hurts whenever i think about it.

he is very respectful and gentle towards woman. however, he can also be sharp and precise when needed. he is skilled in martial arts and also an exceptional scholar. the world and the people around him have never treated him nicely since childhood, but he still can grow up to be such a gentleman.
guqianfan is truly a beautiful man, both inside and outside. i wish the drama had given him some justice in the last ten episodes, he truly deserves more. lastly, i wish that he will always be happy and healthy in the parallel world with zhaopaner. guqianfan, i love you. <3 chenxiao, i love you too haha
Eh, so they travel by quite a big ship for a few days, and then in the middle of nowhere they bump into her friend…
the story will get better and better. plus, the chemistry between both leads are on fire and the cinematography is very compelling and truly one of the best from recent years costume dramas. however, the last 10 episodes (ep26-36) is quite controversial, some might like it, some might not.
the female is an alpha, means like she's more dominant and stronger than the male lead because the male lead is a scholar while the female lead knows martial arts. however, the male lead is a very intelligent strategist and he can basically control the situation using his tactics. he is basically in charge of 'the brain' in the story while the tough works will be done by the female lead. i think this trope is very refreshing and also acted by the two excellent actors like chenxiao and maoxiaotong, we could expect this to be a very entertaining watch haha
this drama came out in the news last month and based on the information gathered :
1. they intend to use this drama to promote the rural area of where it was filmed (Shaanxi) and to increase the economic growth there. a big budget was allocated to build up all the buildings and structures (like railway station, radio station etc.) in the drama from scratch.
2. this drama was based on a masterpiece literature novel written by an award winning writer -luyao. this is a big IP that many people in China had read about and it has a very good reputation of depicting reality of the people and life during that era vividly. it was said that some adaptation /changes have been made to the drama as compared to the novel.
3. the production team was said to be very good and is very dedicated in producing this drama. they encountered problems such covid19 and harsh weather during filming but still power through with teamwork and dedication. the director said himself that he is particularly striving to finish the drama on time so that it will meet the audience on the set date, that is sometimes in Q1 2023. (jan-march 2023)
yes, it already started filming halfway through. after chenxiao finish shooting "rensheng luyao" , he will continue to film the other half of this drama :)
This drama was supposeed to start filming in 2015 but unfortunately it was cancelled for reasons that were not disclosed. Chenxiao and Linpeng only filmed an MV for this drama and that was the end.
they deleted a lot of precious scenes because of restriction on the number of episodes. it's such a pity! here's…
1. there were supposed to be a lot more kisses in this, like A LOT MORE. one of them is the boat petal kiss. that kiss which lasted for 1 second in the drama which actually took A WHOLE DAY to film. from leaks we can see that cx and lyf filmed the kiss scene at several places (on boat, on a rotator) while 8 cameras were focusing on them. every kiss scene you see is supposed the be longer than what was broadcasted. cx said that ever since he debuted as an actor, this drama has the most kiss scenes that he ever filmed, lyf also added that the amount of kisses.was uncountable haha
2. there also the part where paner sit on guqianfan's lap after they reconciled again. I WANNA WATCH THAT PARTTTTT
3. cx said that he filmed the action scenes for 15 DAYS STRAIGHT. that's half a month! i think the director cut a lot of the qianfan's fight scenes to reduce the violence level. otherwise, where do you think he actually got the nickname 'living devil'. and the whole scene of qianfan's saving the foreign prince that cause him to get hit on the chest by big stone was also deleted!
4. for the finale, the only reason why qianfan could bear to watch paner's flogging was because they already planned it out the night before! qianfan returned back the painkiller potion that paner gave to him so that flogging was supposed to be painless. but he acted quickly to stop the flogging when he saw that the court violated tha punishment. they weren't supposed to hit at the spine! they started to flog at the spine which caused paner to vomit blood.
and many more precious deleted scenes that we don't know about. :'(
