Title The Heavenly Idol Spoiler
She tried to kill herself after cruel comments. Dal falls guilty, I think, for not protecting her/realizing how…
She's the one that decide the concept/image for the group comeback. Because of the comeback, Liz Ri got so many hate comment, leading to the suicide attempt

Fortunately they only do 12 eps. If not the drama would be too draggy. The pacing is perfect rn.

Seriously, this drama is soooooo good. This drama deserve better rating seriously. I was a bit skeptical when watching ep 1, but dang ep 3&4 is just superb. Been a long time since I felt this good watching a drama. Those who hesitant to watch, just give it a try. You might feel a bit irk at his stubbornness at first in ep 1, but it quickly gone. He's not stubborn, just lost lmao.

For me, it's not like I don't understand him emotionally. It's just that I felt more connected to the characters…
Yeah, you're right. That's why he is constantly in need of validation. However, he is obsessively wanted validation from a single person, LX.

Once Gao become the CEO of L&P, he's really pathethic. Despite being someone admired by others for being on top, he still want validation from LX, someone who has nothing and just released from the prison lmao.

Story start well, a bit draggy in the middle and quite a rush ending. Lusi acting never disappointed me.
Plot wise, there seems to be a bit loose end here and there. The drama didn't really care about explaining the detail.
And, why do I feel there is some missing scene. There is no connection whatsoever between eps 20 and 21.

Gao’s bigger goal in life was that LX should acknowledge that Gao is better than him and respect him? Are you sure it was really the case since the beginning? It might be truth for the latter part of the drama, but that's when he's already becoming a horrible person. But it's not always be the case.

And yes, your partner is more important than your friends, I just pointed out that Gao didn't have the `partner` that he need. LX and ZY did take care of him to a certain extend but that's it.

The situation they are in really raise the conflicts. Gao know he can't handle his feeling towards LX that's why he want to run away. He desperately want to get away from LX by whatever means it takes. Yes, they did win because of LX, but it doesn't matter to him. He just don't want to constantly get involved with LX anymore. But the situation just didn't side with him. The withdrawal of their merit become a turning point for him. It was his last straw. I don't think there is any viewer who blame LX for what happen. LX is just as desperate to help Gao.

At this point, he just burst with no regards of people around him. Here, I agree with you. He no longer deserved to be sympathize.

Gao is not always as bad as you mentioned. As just how LX and ZY characters grow, he too need to grow. Unfortunately, he didn't. I just felt that he is constantly in state of anxious without anyone to hold him on ground.

Some people live their entire life craving for validation, which is very bad indeed. But not all people realize about this. That's how the reality is. No one is entitled to get others to help them. You have the sole responsibility of how you live your life. But some people are lucky enough to have someone that help them to change and become a better person. Relying on each other through out hardship.

It's a different story if you got someone but don't really put an effort to change your life.

This my perspective on Gao. I will try to watch drama again and see the drama in other perspective. One thing that make me intrigued is how ZY so dedicated towards LX. I really want to understand her character. I'm wondering how one can be that dedicated for one person.

Believe it or not, they rewrite the script after eps 4. This drama got so many complaint from the viewer and they…
Hurm, it depends actually. I like this kind of drama, where there is some sweet but cringe moment. The last few episode feel quite draggy. But I have watch this drama 3 times already. And I love every single moment in this drama. If you are in for the plot I would say the plot is mediocre at best. But one thing you might like is how the FL help ML in overcoming his fear.

One thing to keep in mind, the script does change, but only from terrible to so-so. I only watch it so many times for the chemistry of the leads and their sweet moments.

I'm here again to say that this is the worst k-drama title. An introvert does not mean that the person is afraid…
I'm not sure which one is the official title is but I prefer the title My Shy Boss. Easier to pronounce and a better title in general. I'm too used to the title My Shy Boss, and that's the only title I use when discussing about the drama with my friends

I can only tolerate 1 episode, it was hard for me to continue watching all the stupidity enveloping this drama,…
Believe it or not, they rewrite the script after eps 4. This drama got so many complaint from the viewer and they finally decide to change the script. The tone of the drama also greatly change after eps 4. The drama was on hold for a week or two to re-shoot the scene.

For me, it's not like I don't understand him emotionally. It's just that I felt more connected to the characters…
Here is my thought. Like how you said about LX being horrible in the beginning due to his history, I would say Gao changed to become a horrible version of himself due to multiple circumstances that happen to him. Can't you see how he tried really hard to accept his incompetence in the beginning by joining LX team? He join the team way earlier than ZY. Gao is really naïve in the beginning. He constantly think he is the best just because he is the best when he was in high school. But when the reality hit, it becomes something that really hard for him to swallow. He propose to start a study group just for the sake of improving himself. Not to show off. But then LX just come in and make the group disband by making a new group using the same place as Gao's study group. Gao did feel upset in the beginning, but he just accept the reality. He join LX in hope to become better. But things keep happening to him. He felt like his effort is not appreciated.

The problem is he pent-up all his frustration and blew up by betraying LX. That is solely Gao's problem. Not everyone can be direct in expressing their frustration. He was not being direct because he want to keep their friendship.

Yes I understand how LX upbringing and past make him the way he is in the beginning of the drama. However, LX is lucky to have ZY to pull him to a better path. I do hate LX for certain things, but it didn't stop me from admiring him for growing up and becoming a better person.

On the flipside, there was no one to keep Gao in check. Yes you can say one's is responsible for his/her own life. But just imagine LX life without ZY constantly be with him, talk to him, teach him to communicate. It will not be the same.

There's no doubt Gao become a toxic person. But like I said, there's literally no one to pull him out of the pit.

He did have LX and ZY with him throughout his university life, but it is not the same. You can't really compare what ZY did for LX to what them did for him. I don't think they really understand what is Gao's problem, what is his concern, what his feelings are.

In the end, he finally have Xu Lina with him in a journey to become a better person. Xu Lina to Gao is like ZY to LX. It might not literally be the same, but he did finally have someone.

In contrary, there is FZJ who is a pure evil. No one can change him. He was literally like that since high school.

Prop to LX to forgive Gao in the end. They have a very complex relationship. But those relationship make them grew up to become a better person. It will be hard for them to go back being friends.

Tbh a lot of people are so used to their angelic perfect male lead they see in dramas and forget it's just fiction…
Yeah, in my opinion she did have the best character development. She matured so much on the 2nd part of the story. I love how she can talk and make decision for herself. She even know how to handle LX very well.

All those hardship and sadness she went through made her very resilient. She might not have the same character development if she didn't went through all that.

Like I mentioned previously, I just feel bad for Gao. But whatever the reason is, it can't justify whatever he do. The thing he's done after LX get out of jail is just pure pathetic.

The thing that make me really pissed off is the way LX treat ZY.
