They do have meeting as younger Ji Eum + high school Seo Ha in the webtoon , one time, but she never had easy access to even stalked him like in the drama. In the webtoon this is a plot point and mystery that we as reader and Seo Ha needs to solve. Also this is why she works her way up to be able to meet him, because she can't meet him easily when she just remembers her life.

some of the changes is good but this one feels way off so I get why people feel iffy about it.

I think the "dating me" scenes was quite a disappointment cause I don't get why she would do that in the drama scenes. I get why in the webtoon and the way this question comes also build better in the webtoon.
The things that let me down is the build up scenes to meet Seo Ha again for the first time as adult in the 19th life, it feels like they want to make iconic scenes with the aquarium but the webtoon build up is so good.

This is just based on the webtoon but drama wise, it's pretty fair and good, they give a lot of information, SHS and ABH plays their part well, just wish they used other actors for the high school Seo Ha scenes. The ost sounds amazing, I think they need to make the editing comes off better, still I think this is a really good 1st episode drama wise.

Yeah, the directing is messy. I just realised this after watching the King drama (not to compare) but the other drama is so easy to follow, your eyes and the cut scene in the drama doesn't feel distracted. I've finished the webtoon and ep 1 still looks weirdly off, I get the story but I don't get the feels. I re-read the webtoon recently and it because the sequence of the event changes. The drama makes your confuse about the timeline, probably on purpose but I don't think it translate well. I believe in the story, I believe the cast but the editing makes me think that "this is a drama and they shot this"

The male lead and the sister don't like each other, have never been into each other and not a couple. The drama will try to make them look like that though, to confuse the viewer and the female lead for a while.

the 19th life in the drama is kinda off, also probably because they used the adult actors for the high school scenes like he is clearly 25+ years old guy. It definitely doesn't make sense for her to stalked him like that.

This scenes is actually drama only, this whole stalking sequences doesn't happen in the webtoon and I don't really like this change, I think the webtoon backstory is fine.

I was confused about the comment, this is a not a filler episode at all

even if they are both have the same setting, the vibe is different. in King, the hotel is one of the focal point and more focused on the hotel's work environment + guest , in See you the hotel is more about where they work and solved the mystery. Even in the webtoon, there are not much scenes about working or hotel stuff, it's more about upper management discussion about what's gonna be in the hotel and then they skip the event.

I watch this after See you in my 19th life but it makes me feels that the editing and the style of See you did not suit the drama. Too much close up and so many repeating scenes.
Maybe also because I finished the webtoon but they changed quite some stuff in the story and 12 episode feels like it wouldn't cover the whole story. At least give it 20 episode.

When you said that's ala 2015, it's true, the scene we watch mostly happen in 2015 and we just arrived in 2023 at the end of the drama so it does try to bring the 2015 feels.

I actually enjoy this more than See You but story wise See You has heavier and meatier plot, I just hope they executed the mystery well enough.

as someone who is still working in the office last year, the 3 girls scene in their workplace supposed to happen in 2015, that passive aggressive to rookie is actually believable. Your superior temperament is luck where most of them can be super petty and out of touch. It's one of the believable scene, I've been there, listening to someone who said to me "you didn't need to do anything and just follow order", "you wouldn't find your future here" and I've had friend who just enter workforce and get this statement. Some of the facial , especially the stewardess is an exaggeration but I can see that scenes play in real life, the drama put a little comedic undertone on it but it happened.

I feel like this drama is one of the low end of the year, more nonsensical and also unbelievable with contradicting message. I finished it and I feel like I shouldn't.

also fantasy, I want to take a break from fantasy and go to the Kdrama world for once.

Yeah, the FL scenes done really well and also shows contrasting side with the ML upbringing. They need to show how he is able to match her rather than her to match him which on the other hands, make me more excited. I hope they go that route cause we can see how FL earn her position, slowly, gradually and based on her hard work while the male lead hasn't been in action.

yes, the support cast is really good, the girls friendship is just adorable and believable. I like how they showed us their career and life journey from the beginning. How there are people who undervalued them and try to bring them down but also people that appreciate them. The 3 girls is so different yet the same, they all work hard on their life, trying their best and also feels distinctive.

I don't have like grand expectation for the drama but the editing, the acting and the plot flows really well. Like I root for the friendship and the character despite not knowing the real plot point. I like the character already, their ups and down to their position, how the girls want to change the leadership culture, how the bromance started, it just so good. I hope it gets better from here.

I feel the change about meeting Seo Ha one time is a big road block for me to accept the drama childhood story since she apparently is able to stalked him.

It doesn't make sense with her waiting for so long. Also what do you think about the hearing aid? I don't remember the hearing aid, I remember that Seo Ha can listen from a certain distance but never really needed a hearing aid to function.

In the webtoon, there is no swimming pool scenes, it was told that her mother is deliberately asking her to "friended" the young seo ha because he doesn't have friend. Seo Ha is a brat and kind of a coward who comes to his mum for everything, like when the book dropped, he said to his mum that he doesn't like her. Then it shows that Joo Won (female lead) knows that his mum wouldn't live long and can't really bring him to play outside. Their relationship start more like older sister that nanny the younger brother but he is terrified with her and always try to pick a fight which makes her wants to retaliate and being childish. She used to handle stuff the adult and mature ways but with Seo Ha, she used the childish way , like scaring him and pretend like an innocent 12 years old who just have good intention to adult.

The key point is the sequence, in the webtoon, it didn't start with us knowing about the car accident, they also didn't meet at school. The progression start with Joo Won mum's bring her along to be friend with him and they passive aggressive attack each other like kids, she comes to his home almost every day, reading in the library, bring her little sister sometimes and then we see his mother health get worsen and she passed away. Female lead continues to help him feels better and said that he can comes to her house but then she start distancing herself (I forgot why, it's like she felt weird to like this kids despite being reincarnated several times) but he keeps coming to meet her. She felt bad when she saw him waiting in the rain for her and then he said the "marry me" first to her. Then his birthday coming up and we see that his mum promised him about going to the amusement park together but she passed away before that, prompted the female lead to go with him and we see the car sequences. At this point we've seen how she wants to make him happy, how she felt after he left alone after his mum died and she genuinely like him as a 12 years old, something that she herself didn't think will happen since her countless reincarnation. Also the blurred dialogue was not blurred in webtoon but we know she said it but he can't heard it so we see more of her motivation to meet him and like him. This is the short summary but the webtoon didn't make this a jump cut between future and the past, this is the earlier story by chronological order.

The drama didn't show how long they actually interacted. How Seo Ha changes his attitude from keep talking back to her, being scared , report her to his mother and all the antics to the a boy that listen to her and keep coming back to see her after his mum died. The drama didn't show how young Seo Ha attached to Joo Won and how the young Joo Won is afraid of the growing feeling yet can't resist to make this boy happy before the adult scenes comes up. I think the drama is too fast and I believe they will show the childhood scenes in the fragment.

I'll write spoiler below if you want to read it but if not, as a webtoon reader, I think the child story and characterization is a miss to develop why she has such an attachment towards him. I think the drama goes towards mystery road of why she likes him so much and stuff, so that's why the backstory hasn't been shown as the motivation in the early episode,

This is where I disagree cause I don't think this is convenient. Even without him, there are girls who been tossed out by jae jun, him going with the plan or not didn't affect her plan that much because what she needs was the hair. Other than that, there is the stewardess, in many hierarchal bully or gang, there is always the boss and the henchman and this boss always needs a henchman. Look at the news crew.
The Tattoed guy in my observation didn't break, he stays in character. He has always want to be more but he can't, she gives him the outlet.

She had said that the point is she is back, the point is she is targeting them and that makes yeonjin anxious. Thinking getting the child out is actually getting it simple because what she aimed is the feeling is hopelessness. It even better if the child get transferred for the school cause if the DE manage to follow them again, the anxious follows. You can see how Yeonjin monitor the news forum post. The idea that someone is back, taking aim at you and also around your child is what tortured her. DE can be any other things aside from a teacher to be near a child and if Yeonjin try to give more attention to Dongeun, other people will get suspicious and it had happened to the husband, the teacher and the principal.

The argument to keep finding out about how the bully can escape from physical harm missed the point that up until now, dongeun didn't actually try to harm they physically, she wants them to be in despair from what they have done. Dongeun even take the slaps cause she knew they can't do more and if people see it, people will side with her than the bully. Look at the clapping scene, she just clapping, everyone follows and Yeonjin grow cold.

Also this is 1st part, the setting stage part, there is no guarantee that her plan actually works or she doesn't have backup.
This setting stage doesn't even has high stake that needs a big contingency. Even when the helper ahjumma report her, she just rummaged through people trash, it's not even related to Yeonjin. She can see the child even before she meets Yeonjin, she can do anything to that child before yeonjin aware of everything. Even when the husband didn't play go, she'll meet him at school. She send him pictures, what makes she can't send him the toothbrush.

My main point it, what dongeun did sp far is normal things that wouldn't make her into trouble, she choose the lowkey way and stay put because her very existence that proudly told the bully that she aims for them is the actual threat. It's 2022-2023, bully allegation ruins reputation and we all know the queen in the group is yeonjin. DE goal is mainly her and her work will crumble with this, DE choose the slow take so she can dismantled her support system and that shows the control over her plan despite imo not that lucky since all the helps she gains also can be baggage for her. She now has people that she cares about and the bully can used them to threaten her.

You said that DE has been lucky (as minus in plot) and but also don't need contingencies, which one is it?
Either her plan so far is so good that she hasn't need contingencies that you agreed how she should be to better even if it's luck based or she is prepared to act in unforeseen circumstances which shows that she isn't that lucky after all.

Not to mention this drama isn't even over yet people compare it to a fully aired drama.
