should have been 20 eps, some eps felt unecessarily draggy but for cdramas which are usually 36 eps i guess it's better than a lot but cases were kind of forgettable after midway point last few eps had good action so final verdict it's a decent watch

FL was good in ever night her acting here though?? is too over the top and isn't giving that genuine emotion especially when they had the climactic moments I was taken out of the story sadly.
I didn't expect this drama to be so beautiful and nostalgic at the end I really felt for the group and characters, thought the ending was realistic I thought each character was well written and had a good amount of screentime and ending that didn't feel rushed. The most tragic character is the one I always root for Ming Xiu deserves the world
DAMN a drama where you feel the stakes ep 5 had me shook I was like ohhh wow this is VIOLENT and 2nd ML is ruthless great acting all around and tight pacing i like it
so far so good, loving the vibe of the drama and a FL who is not naive and has us scratching our heads trying to believe how she becomes a genius soldier. it's a fun start but worried it will have a bad ending
“If you’re scared just hold on to each other’s hands” they are the most REAL couple ever what a rollercoaster ride, seeing them both go through that journey and the maturity and love is absolutely unconditional best BL couple ever
"It’s our duty to be nice to other people, or at least be nice to ourselves." ep 5 hits diff i was so proud of kawi what a well written character. Romance and rom com is nice but the true story here is finding yourself and learning to not let other's opinions affect you. the characters were lovely, pear, max, kawi and pisaeng are all such kind and honest ppl <3
omg moonlight couple <3 still a bit sad about them kicking out Chen Feiyu with his "scandal" Love Ding Yuxi this is gonna give chemistry for sure based on moonlight can't wait. hope this wraps up filming so it can air in 2024
Also not gonna lie the golden toilet moment has me laughing but feeling nostalgic love a full circle moment. Roosters were MVP and the cute gremlin too
FINISHED IT: thoughts on the ending this needed to be 40 eps long, 2 more eps could have done so much WTH was that last min Gao Shen storyline, rubbish. I was so mad the ending was not clear but it was hinted that yes they chose their partners and lived happily ever after
My interpretation: In the end we only see LiuXi and Dong reunion which means the 2 other charatcers Fatty Tang and Ding Liu must have chosen to live inside the pass with their lover. I'm happy with that it's just Gao Shen being a shadow puppet, risking it all and having the shittiest luck beside Jiang Zhan in the whole show and at the end we don't even get to see that on screen reuinion was so wrong!
Also what happened to Long Zhi? The inside pass was ruled peacefully by the remaining members? I need it to be shown not told or hinted at in cartoon characters and chen duling gazing in the clouds T_T I loved this one so so much, the friendship, unique world setting and characters were so endearing such a shame still giving it a 9 tho
oh wow the leads just having a normal conversation together ooze chemistry, so natural and beautiful how they cheer each other up, comfort each other and the close angle camera filming makes it feel extra intimate and special. Their voices are so soothing too, what a great and mature pair. I love the parallel world though it took a bit of eps to get to which could have been shortened at the start to flesh out some things later
so good so far on ep 6 the way they make a workplace drama feel so intense, the betrayals, manipulation tactics and how far they would go to one up each other is insane. Addictive!
honestly the ending elevated the ratings of this for me. I love how they never changed that playful, loyal and kind energy was always there between the leads. TOP TIER CDRAMA COUPLE.
Their relationship was so healthy and consistent we need more like this
