There is plot hole though, at ep.4 when Lee Gon excape from the palace there are supposed to be guards outside. Would they leave their post if it is raining? That's bad then.
Drama is quite uneventful so far, the plot could have been squeezed in first two episodes. Visuals, camerawork…
I think he shows enough human side. He is not selfless, he is impulsive (crossing to the other world on the first chance he get without reading further about the other world), and that I-am-magnificent-because-I-m-the-king style is a flaw on itself. And i think, he is not that deep. Despite his trauma, i don't think he is going to show intense emotion or huge complexity of character. He is quiet simple.
But, I really want KGE's character to be deepened more, her family, her thoughts, why she is always rude to him, what's her deal really. If in the next episodes she lost her critical and almost cynical behavior, that would make such a bad plot twist.
But i agree. everything still feels superficial, there is no connection between them, exc. Lee Gon believing they are connected by fate
I admit I didn't really like the first 2 episodes, despite the amazing production. But in ep 3-4 it is all getting better! For this drama i think, we really need to like and be familiar with the characters first for the drama to feel enjoyable. Because they are not the most likable character hahaha (none of them is likable except Young/Eun Sop tbh).
At least, I start like Lee Gon more haha (I was repulsed at his behavior ). Tae eul really needs to up her personality game.
I was absolutely loving this drama until episodes 14/15. Hae Won turned to be a selfish person who only cares…
I literally almost flip in the last episode because of her. Save your time, really. I think the last 4 episodes really wrecked her character so much. Just watch for the side characters.
i did!! I actually tried to postpone every moment i think I have to watch it 'cause I do not want to let go of…
congratulations! haha. Just watch another time travel drama, then. I still remember my first exposure to time travel, and goodness, how I dare to say it was gripping. Since then, I've been obsessed with time travel and parallel world dramas, books, etc. They are so good, thought-provoking, and heart breaking. The premise itself is so sad, isn't it? Happy hunting, then!
You can give it a try when you don't have anything to watch

The story starts to become interesting too!
