btw the thing i disliked the most in episode 3 was the violence with that girl, it is not justified even if she's cheating and why was no one interfering and only little jane did? like it's understandable why big jane said she deserves it because he is supposed be a emotionless or heartless character but after that setting the narrative that she was being abused because she cheated was so not good, i hope they address this in upcoming episodes...

episode 3 was the best so far, i am really liking this, other than some unwanted sound effects, everything is good, i keep looking forward to watch it every week, also they both are so cute together
i hope they change the intro music, the intro is so well done visually, the goody music ruins itt

i wouldn't disagree to any of your point and i think the same as you that all these religions and especially abrahamic religions are neither feminist nor homophilic at all!!
i have heard many creators say that these homophobic verses were bible were added later on and stuff, although i am not sure of it..
but if this helps queer people to get free of their guilt and live freely without choosing, it isn't wrong, see everyone has different life, different decisions and stuff and if you and me were able to overcome these things, i know many can't, and i have been in religious guilt too and i still cried while watching barth and his mother's scene because i would never have the chance to tell my family and stuff..

i had the same question and i got the answer from someone and after i rewatched the last episode i got the answer, so when father was referring to 20 years he meant kongdech and him getting ordained and being on this path for 20 years, a person who has read novel told me that in the novel kongdech started his path to priesthood 20 years ago, and in the last episode when the scene transitions to the present the father's first dialogue is something like it's been a long path and stuff, so the 20 years is him referring to kongdech, and their ages are 47 or 46 in the present

i am not religious at all but it still is a really good message that they gave to all the religious queer people who think they have to choose and they suffer with religious guilt all their life and many of them never choose themselves, it's a really important message to them that they don't have to choose and they don't have to live with guilt their whole life, and that they can love themselves and god at the same time, not everyone is capable of leaving religion or being woke in an instant like us. and the director of the series is queer and catholic both so it's his way of telling his fellow queer people that they can choose both..
