Seo Ji-hye got nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Baeksang Awards, and she was the 2nd FL there. So it's still possible, only thing is other than Oh Jung-se and maybe an actor from Penthouse, not sure who is the other competition?

Most Emotive lol? I mean, he should get recognized for at least something more substantive, Since awards noms/wins further help/propel one. I don't know about Best Supporting Actor, but def. a nomination or win Best New Actor would be amazing for him. I just hope that he gets himself a quality role (lead or supporting) in a project, so he can make a name as an A-List leading man. He said it himself, he wants to be a great actor, so I hope he'll be able to do so. One thing, he has to debut in a film!! I don't why, he hans't been offered a film role yet?

Altho Yang Se Jong got nom'd and even won Best New Actor for Temperture of Love which languished in the end. So Kim Seon-ho has the Best shot there imo, and possible win too. Really, winning this award here is good, b/c it's the next step for his career.

I think Best New Actor/Best Popular Star are his best shots at the Baeksang Awards. I just hope he gets quality roles instead of just romantic ones. He's a theater trained actor!! Let's not waste his talents, Drama Gods!

Hospital Playlist's actress got a Best New Actor nom, so it was eligible but again, the cut-off date for nom's was when the drama was halfway through. So I don't think it'll be get nom'd, even though it should, only b/c of the cut-off date, but H.P 2, possibly!

YJH was good in Lie After Lie, but he wasn't the best actor/part of that show. Plus, his whisper voice was ridiculous at times lol. Ah, Penthouse...thing is it's a 3 season show, so dunno, plus that's an ensemble piece and the writing hasn't been praised to like Sky Castle levels. Ooh, Hwang Jung Min *If Hush is good, he'll possibly be nom'd there! NGM, possibly too. But dunno, since crime/thriller shows don't get much love there (Stranger/Signal as expectations) for acting, I mean.

Lee Do Hyun could get nom'd for Best New Actor there, but 18 Again, while beloved, didn't do so hot ratings wise. So dunno about win, but nom, yes! As for Start Up, that's the only hindrance is that aspect ://. but I do hope that KSH gets some recognition b/c honestly his performance/character in this show is so memorable/possibly one of the best performances in K-dramas 2020 rn. If it's a list form #1-5, he'll be top 5 for sure! It'll be a shame if he doesn't get any recognition!

Oh yeah. Thing is, NJH was still with YG+ when he signed up for Start Up. I guess, it was a bts thing w/ him and Soop later on? But yeah, Soop really did overdrive w/ Suzy/NJH content. Let's be real, KSH is the only shot/best chance that Start Up will get awards time.

Salt is an okay agency. It's not a super big or popular one. Those are BH Entertainment, Soop, Namoo, and Keyeast. IA, that they do have a lot of power over their actors :/ I'll say that, for the agencies I listed above, they've Hallyu to A-Listers in it. But for Salt, only KSH, PSH, and KJW (To a lesser extent) are big names. So I worry they're going to push him, and burn him out until the public gets annoyed by him.

But yes, how it is in Hollywood, agency power is very important. Package deals are also a thing as well. Agency power is what gets the actors the roles with top quality talent.

I do think that while Salt is giving a lot of push to KSH rn, I do think that KSH should sign with a more established agency like BH Entertainment in the future.

I think he def. has a big chance to win Best Actor there rn. But really Kim Soo Hyun & Cho Seung Woo seem like his biggest competition rn. Does anyone else have any predictions?

Yeah, he won't get nom'd in Best Actor, but Best Supporting Actor is his best shot. Since, Jeon Seok-ho in Hyena who was the 2nd ML there got nom'd in that category. Same with Seo Ji-hye with Crash Landing on You too.

I notice actors who get nom'd there in big categories (leading/supporting) get a nice career boost, which helps legitimize their talents like Kang Ha Neul who finally got the awards he deserved!

IA. It's all political/connections/agency power. Soop is more powerful than Salt, so yeah :// That's why I put Best Supporting Actor, like how the Oscars do with category fraud b/c it'll give them more chances lol.

For Main Actors, I think Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Joon Gi, (Cho Seung-woo: Maybe? Dunno if they nom'd him again for a sequel) are his biggest competition for now. But yeah the Baeksang's announce their nom's in April/May, I believe and the cut-off date is around then. That's why Hospital Playlist didn't get nom'd in Best Drama.

For Best New Actor: It's not about how long you acted, but it's getting recognized at that ceremony for the first time. It's weird, right? But it's the way it is in Korea. So, his best chance will rprob. be for Best New Actor (And I think he could win it!) Even Lee Jae Wook got nom'd there for Extraordinary You which got low ratings despite being a fan favorite.

As for KSH: I do worry that they'll market him to a Hallyu/heartthrob like Jung Have-in, and get him typecasts. I want to see him tackle more mature dramas. Kang Ha Neul finally got awards recognition this yr, so I really hope KSH can follow suit.

Why, I didn't place him in Leading, is he might get the best chance to get nom'd in there. Plus Oh Jung Se for IOTNBO will prob. either win/or get nom'd. I don't know if the Baeksangs allow dual noms in both of those categories before? I remember when he won for Two Cops, the PD made an override decision to have KSH win both Best Rookie and Most Excellent Actor.

No I agree, he is co-lead! But thing is, I don't think NJH's agency Soop would like seeing their 2nd ML take Best Leading Actor awards lol. After all, they vouch for placements at these award ceremonies. He could get nominated possibly at the Seoul Drama Awards, Korean International Awards, and etc. The biggest one is Baeksang awards, if he gets recognized there, he'll surely go on to bigger/better things :)

The biggest disservice this show has done is not display KSH's excellent kissing skills in this show!! I hope he makes up for this with his new project!! In his own words: "Look forward to my future kiss scenes."
