the way he didn't answer her question of why he chose the marriage knowing he'll get a whole ass whooping if he said "from a list randomlyπ§ββοΈ" lmaoooo
i'm a romcom enthusiast so a drama about terminal illness wouldn't be in my radar but somehow i decided that it was time for a change and wanted to suffer instead and suffer i did. in the best possible way. a beautiful, heartbreaking, emotional, poignant journey and messages about life and death.
what i appreciate is that it wasn't the case where it was simply outshined by one or two person but each and every single character breathed life into the drama. whether it was friends, family, colleagues or strangers, we were able to have an insight their perspectives which was wonderful to see as it shows that this disease affects not just the person but everyone around them. the conversations was beautifully written. it felt natural, raw, nuanced like real people with human emotions. i was often struck by how relatable they are and got me reflecting on things which is rare. it was evident they took a heavy topic and treat it with love and care. our leads' performance which of course was phenomenal and deserves recognition but all the supporting cast too.
it was neither a bad or open ending (although not shown, we know the outcome) but a sad, bittersweet, realistic one. i'm really glad to have experienced the characters' story and although there were certainly a lot of tears, there was also joy and i think that's something profound about this drama. in the darkness, there is always light. to cherish those small moments because you never know how short they may be.
