of course as a novel reader, it’s always hard to come to terms with casting but i personally love both bai jing ting and zhang ruo nan (she looks so pretty in the pics!!!) even if they didn’t initially have the characters’ vibes for me but it’s ok! i think they’ll still have their own charms.
as for the hidden love cast not staying the same, yeah it’s a bummer. it really would have been nice to reprise their roles for consistency but it’s not always possible so i’ve made peace with it.
