It seems he's really absorbed by his saju readings and I think (small) Choi Hanna is also undergoing the same dilemma as him (but hers is tarot cards and in addition, shaman)since they really put their spirituality into everything esp. their love life. The difference is, in Choi Hanna's case, she thinks she'll be betrayed and as the texts show, she's still being chosen and so, not really as bothered as JW who received 0 votes meaning 1) He is not chosen by Suhyeon, his date who he really likes and whom he believes as soulmate 2) His saju were false since it predicted that things will be turning out fine and even he would be the endgame couple with his fated partner.

Anyway, for better understanding, these are some info that can help:
1) Important Day Pillar Animal: Black Rat = big Jo Hanna, Red Rooster = Suhyeon, Blue Ox =Jaewon
2) Jaewon picked Black rat even said "it was like love at first sight" (when he saw those wooden planks)
3) 1st night = Black Rat (& Red Ox) chose him, he thought Suhyeon is the Black Rat and so was surprised that his 'fated one' accdg to his saju readings
4) 2nd night = Black Rat chose him again. Of course, big Jo Hanna is his date, and quite attracted to him and seeing how close Suhyeon with Gubong, it is starting to break his 'delusions' that his first impression pick is not Black rat, his fated partner.
5) I am not sure about this, but from inference it seems Red and Black means having a lot of water in saju while Blue and Gold mean there is a lack of water. (Remember the host said, Yi Yul (Golden horse) lacks water while small Hanna (Black Ox) has a lot.) That's why when he was on a date with Suhyeon, he asked about the lack/abundance of water, and it somehow gave him hope that she could still be black rat.
6) 3rd night = No one chose him, not even Suhyeon, his date and the person he seems really interested in. It seems it really broke him especially since he is confident with his saju readings.
I mean even most members have said it is mostly accurate but not 100%. I think he seems really invested in this and with his work in line, I think it definitely urged him to just leave.

Seriously, I thought he was just a quiet and cute boy, but his fortitude after receiving the text of rejection, his response to the concern by a fellow cast member, his motives of joining the show (so precious), and although I am still very dubious of their job (but since I am not really an atheist, I could consider them as 'priests' of another religion) when he shared about something about the forest when exorcising the ghosts and the comfort he gets from it comparing it to the real world, it seems he is really grounded as a person, not someone who thinks he is high above the "muggles", and those just make him so likeable for now. Yup, episode 3 is way too early but right now he's my pick. 😉

Whoa, the way this plays out seems scripted but I don't care. The dopamine rush from this show is, just as Shin Dongyeop (the MC) mentioned, "different from your usual dating shows", creepy but so fun! Anyway, we can definitely see the mental strength of people here considering the spiritual nature of their jobs. I think I have a favorite already. Yi Yul! More of my fangirling below (with spoilers):

IMO, I think he's clean-looking and considering he has not been in a relationship before, he seems like a gentleman, it seems it stemmed more about being career-driven and as an Asian, it's not uncommon. I think the 2nd season highlighted compatibility and not just ruling out other people as red flags, which is a breathe of fresh air compared to other dating shows (and definitely the first season).

Yup yup yup hwi is becoming myfavorite cast really wyick with this episode.

They seem really incompatible and i hope yj’s past wont affect his possible relationships (esp with hanmin)badly. I hope it will be a good comparison of how you want to be treated while in a relationship.

I agree . He never leaves doubts. I think Hanmin is also as pure but we havent seen much more of him yet but the interaction bw him, youngjoon and hwi is just so fun esp when hwi was watching them in frontrow (iykyk).

Prob him rushing to see the card & his eagerness in the new person ‘date’. But ireally like his energy! 🥰

Wahhh, i think this is the first time I have a firm and different opinion from most of the comments. Well I think the ‘first’ season couple(s) were actually a good match, like I strongly approve especially the most controversial (the most screen time). I actually admire her process of dating and I think I can learn from her (also the other girl who was involved in their love square). I think it’s the best way to find a partner.

I think CH is what she truly needs not the disguise of YW nor the old habit of JH. Could be she has ruled him already out because his job isnt that as stable?

Good to know it wasn't just me who had such reaction after Seseung jumped on that bed, I was like, "Nooooo, Girl!. I mean I can't believe JS actually succeeded in his 'mirroring' strategy of making it about her just 'finding fault'. And when Yunha asked him did they overcame their rough patch? The way he laughed is like (for me), "yes I got away with it." Ugh. Annoying.

I am loving it, despite the disappointment towards some of the members, I think the overall atmosphere and varied sibling dynamics made it really fun to watch. It’s interesting to watch them (esp. Jh) uncover some of the issues. Don’t worry I’ll definitely post my review when it ends as well. This will definitely be one of the top of this list.
