but wouldn't Prince Bogeom being the CP would make the Queen step down her throne? I know that many things could be rectified but it would be bad look to the Queen if she didn't stay true to her word.

Please. I really hope we get more seasons! Just checked out soompi and it seems really doing well in Korea!~

That's an interesting and valid point of view. Aside from the younger grand princes which have lesser appearance, she does seem bring more a brighter energy when the drama is mostly full of tension. Also, the women the princes they are interacting with are limited to servants and there are almost no women of their age.

the King is supposed to be wise so maybe he got all the smart genes from him. The missions proved that the King really is, but sometimes when he is with the Queen & QD I find him too weak though. Oh well., just an observation.

The people complaining like me are just feeling protective like moms. Feel free to express your neutrality/fondness towards romance. I like a good romance too but this seems just unnecessary. I'm probably just nitpicking but it's just that I am so invested in this drama.

I really thought that Master Toji (the physician who treated during the plague) won't be evil in this drama. He was the evil state councilor in The Crowned Clown. He suits villain roles though.

I wonder how he will play a role in the affairs with the palace. His alliance with the state councilor and the physician who treated the CP is quite a surprise. I thought he would be someone like the guy who Prince Bogeom & Seongnam need to escort to the palace.

I like the alliance they had on that one. I have been dubious with Bogeom ever since he approached the QD but I wonder how will the bond between Seongnam and Bogeom will pan out.

Also Chowol. She is an interesting character. I like the dialogue between her and the queen. The queen showed her diligence as as a queen, mother and as a a woman, in that scene. I think she is too good for him.

The actress voice is like that even in her other works (Because This Is My First Life, i love that drama but her voice can be annoying) but she took it in higher notch pitch in this one. She portrays a naive consort who is easily swayed with opportunity of power, making her an easy target to be manipulated esp. by the Queen Dowager.

About the possible loveline between Prince Seongnam & Cheongha, I really hope that won't happen. I want Seongnam to have someone like Courtesan Cho Wol, but she already in love with the other grand prince. As much as she is helpful to Seongnam, I wish she isn't as clingy and outright declaring her feelings for him so early.

The sunrise scene is just breathtaking. It's like CG but I am not sure.

i meant that Alchemy of Souls used to have 8.something ratings but shoot up to 9. :D it may take a while but every episode just send the highest rating you can give. (i used to rate dramas here in MDL only once or even just after watching the drama.)

I can't watch this without thinking about Rio's Raise de wa Chanto Shimasu's character. They are somewhat similar. I am still not invested to the story itself but It's not hard to watch hot people falling in love with each other.

To those who wants this drama to increase ratings, always update your rating every episode. That's what I've learned when AoS was airing, now it has a 9.0 rating.

i am on board with you about the 'love interest'. If they are really planning to extend this drama until he becomes a King I would want his Queen to be as capable like the present Queen. Ofc that is just my wishful thinking.I mean if he becomes King, I think there are just too many enemies in that palace, he and his mother needs more competent allies.

or do you wish the characters were more cunning than that of the queen, because the Queen with her tricks indeed has the makings of a good villain.

but it seemed Sunyoung has made Mangchi did the choosing again... disappointing but I just wish she was the one who made the decision.
